... Is that 1050, or 1500? The former is amazing.

This was actually a lot easier than Babylonia and Ethiopia, although I encountered few difficulties like really strong Spain and the Indies getting the conquerors... However, I managed to take Spain with my stack of dumbos, Catapults and mercenaries and I was first to Liberalism (first time ever with Mali).



With Mali you need to flip at least two camel archers to able to win domination victory, gladly that is quite common and I flipped three with my first 3000BC roll. I founded Wagadugu as my capital and took my Camel Archers to take weakly defended Carthago, I razed Annabe, whipped a galley in Carthago, but France had beaten me to Rome, so I landed next and took it from them. Luckily France was pretty weak and Italy spawned just in time to block them from Rome. Portugal declared war on me and after a short preparation I took Lisbon, after which they capitulated. I was expecting them to collapse, but they survived and contributed valuable land.

Spain was a monster, but I didn't think that anything else than taking Spain would be enough, so I raised the army pictured above. That was enough to tackle them, but they lived in exile for another century or so. My stack was upgraded to rifles and I went on to conquer France. Meanwhile I settled two cities in NA. Around these times Germany respawned and they vassalised simultaniously with respawned Russia. America also vassalised. Turkey declared on me after a congress and my SoD in Strasbourg rolled straight to Constantinople, which collapsed them instantly. England declared war on me and I served some their cites in NA to America, blockaded them for a great while and bombed all their infrastucture in England, which finally made them to capitulate. By then I was pretty close to the land, so I founded a few cites and culture bombed them, which was enough to win.

Here is a save; I think I'll go back to this one, or some other save to try and salvage my situation (I'll show you the current one, that's left me unwinnable right now)

Ever since the new changes, I have not been able to play China properly either.
It's extremely painful to not be able to get The Great Library (it isn't even the religion issue anymore, but the trading penalty is extremely harsh on China; historically, it wasn't just China feeding techs to the world, China received a lot of ideas and innovations from Arabia & Persia too, as well as the Greek influenced Central Asian regions). and the Pantheon, which I know are meant for Greece.

I have tried multiple times to get a good strategy going for China, and the closest I've gotten is in the middle phase where you let Taoism & Confucianism come into your cities from the west instead of founding them yourself. I have also adopted the strategy of marching an army to Rome across Central Asia, but I'm thinking I should march them towards Greece instead and wipe out the wonder whore before they take the crucial ones.

Heh, I'm a little close to giving up and just playing Euro civs now,
but I'll hold out a little longer and see what I can come up with.
Early Astro beeline was something I committed to secure European vassals,
but England is a crappy vassal; they don't share and they tech way too fast.
Perfidious Albion must be eliminated every game.

Liberations hurt stability? Because I'm doing fine in terms of stability so far. But conquering Mali and re-settling Ethiopia has caused me to go from solid to stable (I'm at a grand total of +1 right now).

Usually the best way to do it is when the Mongols start invading them or if they're under a German-Viking dogpile.
It seems like Russia neither counts as Europe or Asia though, so make sure you have Astronomy by 1200 or so.

They respawned and vassalised almost immeatidely.

Persia is one of my favourite civs, so I wanted to improve my last game, which was more of a par performance.

I altered my strategy and decided to strike China straight from start instead of India. My stack of three immortals and five chariots managed to surprise them and take Xian, which was a double holy city. I didn't want to drag my economy further and signed peace with China later. I built the Great Wall in Xian, which released the barbarian pressure in Asia and I could focus my troops to Europe, where I had taken Rome and Athens in order to avoid Byzantine spawn completely.

I was planning to conquer southern India before Mughal spawn, but I decided to let it go and focused on crushing the Arabs after their spawn. That turned out well and I took Makkah around 850 and then moved on to Egypt, which collapsed Arabia. Then I prepared for the Seljuks, who were easily beaten with Knights and War Elephants. I got Astronomy around 1100 and Spain, England, Indonesia and Russia vassalised immeatidely. Sadly Russia collapsed to Mongols before I could aid them, but HRE took their place as my vassal.

I let England take both conquerors and they did a decent job conquering both Aztecs and Incas completely. China collapsed around 1500 and I consumed the rest of their lands. Japan declared war on me after a congress, so I took their posssesion on mainland Asia as well. After 1600 I attacked India before softening Mughals with the French first. England conquered southern India, while I took northern, but annoyingly India respawned and we had to conquer southern India again. That delayed my victory slightly, but it happens.

Well, improve... you can say that. Fridges in 1700 AD?

I should've taken a 600AD start, but I wanted to have a shot at the Great Cothon, since it would fit my city placement extremely well. Anyway, I was close to quitting, but I managed to take a good junk off China when the Mongols collapsed them, so kept on playing. My technology level didn't allow me to take NA, so I left it to America, who voluntarily vassalised to me and proved to be a great vassal with a little help. Eventually I expanded to northern India and Mongolia. India vassalised to me and occupied southern India. Later I took England's holdings in Australia and Africa, shich proved to be enough to get the land. However, it was rather tight and I had to drop in about thirty nukes around the world to get enough population.

I have listed every civ in the first post, so that everyone can see which ones haven't been done yet. Hopefully I got all of them? Also I am trying to list the civs by spawning dates in the 3000BC scenario, so please point out all the mistakes you notice.

Also I will have to remove 秦始皇's France record, since I just realised that it has been played with Epic speed. Thus I am reinstating TD's France game on the list.

I don't think Ethiopia has been done, to the best of my knowledge.

China is doing a great job teching for being a city state in the middle of Tibet.

Who are you going to do next? Japan seems interesting, because they actually have an UP which is going to help a lot while going for conquest domination.

@strijder: Yeah, I am really surprised that they survived so long. I am thinking of doing the Native Americans or then moving on to SoI.

I rolled a 3000BC start and sent my starting troops north. After taking Tucume and practicing with the dog soldiers (free barb wins) I attacked Mayas and conquered their lands. Meanwhile I was preparing for the conquerors and teching towards Optics.

Vikings got both conquerors and they took the copper city for a while. I had to fight them off in north as well, but luckily they divided their troops and my city raider vets beat them easily after letting them take Huaxapac (whatever). Meanwhile my settlers were busy settling South America. My first new cities were Refice (iron), Belem and Buenos Aires.

In order to keep my economy a float I became a little resource whore, giving everything to everybody at low price. Eventually it paid off and I managed to tech Astronomy and Education before everybody had them. Trading them around improved my tech situation significantly. Before 1775 I settled Denver spot, but left Chicago go, since I wanted to vassalise America. It worked as America and Mali peace vassalised quickly and Indonesia later.

Then it was time for warring and after assembling several navies, I first sent them to Asia. I tried to capitulate Japan, but they rather collapsed, so I took Kumming from Thailand just because it had the Porcelain Tower, however, I realized that Thailand was a very potential vassal at this point, so I just killed their troops without taking their cities and they eventually capitulated. I also liberated Kumming back to them.

Then I declared war on Spain and England and helped America to conquer NA. Spain capitulated, so Portugal was next and I quickly took their SAn holdings and liberated Lisbon to Spain, while helping Mali to roll down the East African coast. Meanwhile my united navy sailed to conquer HRE's capital Frankfurt in order to shoot their Space Ship down. I made peace with England for Melbourne and after founding a couple cities I won the DV.

+32 Civics Stability

What Civics are you running? How many cities do you have? I vaguely recall that certain civcs (Authoritarian?) give + Stability with the number of cities. Or is it Imperialism?

I was running the authoritarian civics. One (don't recall which) of them gives stability per civ you are in war against and in the end I was fighting 10 civs at once.
