Moderator Action: I don't know what it is with Poland, but it seems like every subject eventually goes Polish. So, rather than deal with it over dozens of threads, let's try keeping it to just this one. I may change my mind later, but for now let's see what happens. So, let's discuss Poland...

Note: You still need to keep your posts within [rules]forum rules[/rules]. Also, I'll be closing any other threads turned Polish and aiming them here. Keep it legal guys and discuss what you've already discussed a thousand times.
 
OMG!!!! WHAT IS WITH THE CONSTANT POLISH DEMANDS!!! seriously!? get over it! or just mod one in. maybe im naive but i have never regarded poland as a huge civ in world history the likes or Rome, Egypt etc...and some of the other "lesser" civs in the game are purely to give culturally diverse set of civs. i just cannot believe the overwhelming number of comments about polish civ. while we are at it why not add austria-hungary, bulgaria, etc.

With a Polish-sounding surname, I'm not surprised you can't see the moaning and . .. .. .. .. .ing about Poland has reached ridicolous levels.

I fully support the moderators in this. If you can't accept Poland isn't in the game and move on, at least we don't have to listen to you any longer.

Poland, why not even bring in Liechtenstein (leader Hans Adam II).

As others have mentioned (all over this forum), civs aren't (ony) included because they have been great or they have something great, they are also in to have a nice spread of cultures to play in civ. Personally I don't think we need another European civ.

I think we have an (almost) nice blend of civs as it is, the only thing that irritate me is the vikings or the choice to make a fantasy version of them
 
agh....so tempting to post funny (not racist!) jokes about special units being catering staff lol

Please don't take it personally Jan - and that term "ghetto" is really over the top - .... there are just a couple of people on these forums who steer EVERY post towards their agenda of glorifying Poland (one in particular has hundreds of threads and has never made any comment on Civ aside from Poland Glorification), distorting reality, rewriting history and laying claim to practically every known human invention and historical event as part of Polish history.

This understandably leads to a lot of people decrying such latent falsehoods, and frankly, it's tiring for so many threads to be pulled off course to cater to rampant nationalistic blindness....

Much better for all that crap to be focused in one place where people are free to ignore it if need be.

Can you imagine if everyone behaved like those individuals and dribbled rubbish about their own country? Given the large number of nationalities posting on these boards, this place would be a mess.... I can only applaud the fairness of the mod deciding to do it this way rather than just laying the smack on those involved in spamming every thread with their mind-numbing falsehoods and giving infractions to those who get riled in reply.

While it's shameful that a couple of individuals can portray the people, intellect and education system of your country in such a bad light, at least here, it's all on topic, if nothing else!

No no no, this is more like a gathering.. a camp if you will where people may concentrate their thoughts on Poland. You could call it a concentration camp.

This thread has nothing to do with the fact that the Moderators and people are Xenophobic against Polish people or not. This thread is about stopping spam(of people who like or dislike the idea of Poland in CIV) and avoiding mass banishments.

You guys are lucky. Most of other big forums don't accept this kind of off-topic at all.
Ps: I am also lucky! Or I would be punished too in the thread about America and in the Portugal one too, I guess. :lol:
 
I think "fed up" is the term we should used as opposed to racist or Xenophobic
