An overview of some Amir stereotypes:
The near western tribesman: Viewed as weak and cowardly. Seen as needing protection provided by the slightly less weak and cowardly far west tribesman.
Quotes from society members about them:
Peasant: Who?
Artisan: You mean those guys we are about to conquer? They couldn't take candy from a fish.
Merchant: Hehe, those guys are poor li'l beggars. Their kids get picked on by snails.
Nobles: They really, really, really, really need our protection ([/propaganda]).
Far Western Tribesmen:
Peasant: Who?
Artisan: Those guys sometimes get raided by
southerners (a group renowned for their complete lack of prowress in battle).
Merchants: Rumor has it they're pretty rich and could put up a good fight. Just kidding!
Rich People: They are pretty rich :scoffs at merchant:, but obviously not as rich as us.
Southern Peoples:
Peasants: Who?
Artisans: They couldn't fight off a blind monkey. A pretty good navy though.
Merchants: Those guys are so gullible, I could make a fortune by telling them if they give me a coin they will get magic powers.
Nobles: Damn these jungles for not letting us conquer them! All those guys do is sail in their boats, we could crush them in an instant.
Easten Hordes:
Peasants: Oh Gods! Oh Gods! Ahhhhhhh!

.
Artisans: Oh lords!

Merchants: They give me nightmares! They definitely eat humans.
Nobles: I shiver just to think about them. They are terrifying.
Northern Nomads:
Peasants: Who?
Artisans: Don't see much of them.
Merchants: They tell weird stories about lands to the far north.
Nobles: Pretty sketchy group. Always on the move, I don't like them much.
