Share your screen shots and and tell us about the worst location you ever started. One of mine was starting with a never ending Tundra, also getting in a middle of a swamp.

Here's mine:
WSL.JPG

This screenshot was taken from a Warlord game at around 1365 AD. My tech: The beginning of the middle ages. :gripe: This island, IIRC, had NO STRATEGIC RESOURCES (OTOH, I never got to see if Oil, Aluminum, or Uranium was there)!!!
I ended up losing the game at about 2012 AD (Carthage built their SS). My tech at that point: about 1/4 of the way through the IA. :gripe: So I'd say this about covers it as "worst start location".
P.S.
bloodofages, do you have a screenie of that?

One day, I was running MapFinder. I saw a Starting Location that I almost wanted to try to play.

Get this: My Settler was standing in the middle of a vast desert sandwiched between 2 VOLCANOES! I wish that I had a screenshot. It was hilarious!

Still no one beat mine :p

That start doesn't look bad at all!
Give me the 4000BC safe And' I'll show you what I can do with that!

@choxorn: *shudder* why are you building a colloseum?

I've had worse, although i dont have any pics right now (i cleaned up all my saves yesterday)

Well, there could have been Rubber or Uranium in that jungle...
Sorry, I only have the one from 1365 BC
@Mirc: maybe, but the game didn't last long enough for Refining to be researched by me.
@azzaman: I forget why I was building the Colloseum.

choxorn, is that Conquests 1.22f ? If so, the seed and map details can be extracted. IMHO, that map you have, if it conquests, is a beauty. I would really enjoy playing that map, and win on it. :D

WOW!

You might just beat me with that one. It has some advantages over my jungle start, but my jungle start has some advantages too...

Hmm, lets call it a draw! ;) ok?

It's PTW 1.27f. Sorry. If anybody wants to play the 1365 AD save, I'll upload it.
@Doc: Yep, that beats MAS's by a mile.

explain to me how you can get the seed if it's a PTW game... :p

I've seen a SG on this one, it's Emperor, right?
Yep, Emperor it was.

Admittedly, there was one single decent spot on that island .

Absolutely weird map. At least 3 more Civs started on equally rubbish lands, and only Japan had a nice start.
But, what is really mad here: There are lots of nice islands around - without anyone starting there!

(Here are some more horrible ones - with the seeds consolidated in post #13. Have "fun"...)
