ok, here is my question, i have a PC, and have lots of friends who insult the MACs, such as "nuke them" but i have seen comercials on tv about people who switched to mac and it went great.........can anyone tell me the truth?

which one is better mac or pc?
 
I definitely like PCs better. Maybe it's because I'm more used to a PC, but I cannot stand MACs. We use MACs in school and they freeze a lot, lots of errors, annoying mouse, annoying keyboard, little pinhole thats hard to reach and is annoying to get to to restart when the computer freezes up. Not to mention it's hideous. :p
 
When working with Illustrator, Mac's rule all! But when games are in question, PC's are definately king of the road. :D

Agreed! :goodjob: and also there are more games (and better ones) for the PC, you don't see Grand Theft Auto 3 on the Mac much do you?
 
Yes, you may not be able to do GTA or PTW on a Mac, but try editing video on a PC. Or listening to alot of music. Or using Photoshop or anything Adobe. Oh, and did I mention the internet is run by macs?
and to orioles- you must be using a school computer. They suck. Use a real Mac, with 10.2.1, 120 Gig and a 23" Flat Panel Monitor.
 
PCs are far better. Macs are good, but not worth buying. I never see the point of people who put Windows for Mac and stuff onto their Macs. I've used Photoshop, Paintshop and all those 50 Adobe things on the Mac and have used most of them on PC too. I really can't tell the difference. I believe the Mac has some already built in things in the monitor and such which allow for better colors and whatnot.
But that damn Mac mouse. Sure having no huge box filled with wires and data boards and cards is nice, but not anything amazing.

Plus you can't play most games.
 
If Macs were a car:
50% faster
100% more efficient
75% more expensive
80% more reliable
Only allowed on 5% of the roads.
 
The truth is: none are better. I'm a mac user since the early begining of the mac platform and I can tell you that mac are better for some things and PCs for other... gaming for exemple... but if you work in video editing or music, as I do both, Macs are way ahead.

You might not like the external "design" of Macs, but you must know that what makes macs interesting is what is inside... and btw it is possible to use whatever keybords or mices you like with a mac...

And mac don't crash more often then windows... that's an absolute certeinty...

But sadly enought, the internet IS NOT run by macs... it's run by unix...
 
The only reason I think PCs are better (and will stay on top) are games. Every game starts on a PC, takes a few months and extra money to switch to a Mac. I think this will make Macs less popular, so PCs do rule, and will continue to do so.

I think Apple is a dying company...why? Bad leadership. Steve Jobs took an incredibly successful computer company, one that he built, and drove it straight into the ground. He basically created a civil war between the two groups -- Apple II and the Macintosh.

"Pirates of Silicon Valley" best describes Jobs' lunacy.
 
If I worked with editing video or doing some thing I never do, then I might have a Mac, but I don't, and I like my PC so I have a PC.

And I read some of those people on the Mac commericals had rather questionable ties to the company, but that could just be my memory.... :mischief: ;)
 
Macs are like the local burger joint in a small town. They may make the best burgers for miles around but in the end they still get edged out by McDonalds even though McDonalds' burgers are not even fit to be fed to dogs.

In an effort to compete, the local burger place sacrafices quality to lower their prices but in the end they still can't compete with McDonalds and in the process they have lost their integrity.

This is the state of the Mac.

They are still better than Windows machines though! :p

Mac OS is a very,very good thing but its like swimming upstream.Its a Windows world I'm afraid.

It didn't have to be this way.One small mistake not copyrighting an OS way back and here we are.
 
It's not so much Mac themselve that I've trouble to bear, it's more their users that work on my nerves.

But the result is the same : Mac blow.
 
Have always used PCs, and the few times I've had to use a Mac I hated it. PCs just seem far more intuitive to me.

And what's with those cr*py little Mac mice? I feel like I've had a stroke and lost the use of my right arm after using one of those for five minutes.
 
Let's just say that I will never, ever buy a Mac... :vomit:
