All right, I'm playing a game as Rome from ancient start, and I put a 200 turn time limit to settings, as a kind of limit the game to a medieval supreriority.
My legions crush Japan and America under the heels of my legions and ballistae, and I switch to peaceful mode with a point lead, having a far fetching empire, that's starting to become a bit lazy and corrupt, as I feel superior and my biggest Rival Spain just masses troops but is all words, no action.
I know there's one civilization beyond the ocean that I haven't met yet..
Turn 199, I click next turn and wait for the victory screen... Defeat.
From replay video I see a single unknown city just staying there while other civilizations rise and fall and spread out.
I lost a time victory to another civ. I choose 'Wait. One..more.turn..", I need to meet this foe.
Like a giant awakening from slumber, I start mounting an expedition across the sea. I research caravels and send two of them forward. They sail across barbarian infested islands, and pass a big battle surging between Korea and Russia.
My explorers find a Single City Babylon, with a massive 28 population and twelve wonders and loads of social policies. I was happy to see that AI tries out OCC(one city challenge) and succeeds.

Once again I've summoned my generals. The thought of all those wonders for me has made me drunk with greed..
