Thanks, Renata. That's bizarrely arbitrary, but oh well.

Have an AI capture the FP city. This will automatically destroy the FP, leaving you to rebuild it wherever you want. Recapture the old FP city while the majority of the citizens still has your nationality. And voila, moved the FP without disbanding any city!Shujaa said:Is there any way to move my FP without disbanding the city it's in?

Though personally I don't think I'd ever do that... there's something in me that prevents me from ever just giving a city to the AI, no matter what the benefits.

I know what you mean! There are other things too that just don't feel right. For instance, I don't think I ever will abandon my capital city in order to make a palace jump. I guess that's why I'm only a mediocre player.Lord Parkin said:Nice idea!Though personally I don't think I'd ever do that... there's something in me that prevents me from ever just giving a city to the AI, no matter what the benefits.

Obviously things such as a Bank will be useless, but happiness improvements (such as Temple, Marketplace etc) will be VERY useful for allowing the large population that each city has to keep happy (and therefore not waste valuable specialists as entertainers).I agree with Lord_Parkin.........However, if you are playing to win by say a Conquest Victory, there's not much point in being concerned with distant cities.....be more concerned with building offensive fast units!megaclom said:Is there any point to have distant *large* cities *with improvements*? All improvements are payed for by the economy in general (right?, not the city itself) and and if it isn't producing anything but one gold and one shield, obviously there is no point to having it grow at all (unless it will produce workers or settlers or become a future capital or etc. and cultural improvements might be valuable).

YES!.......And Civil Engineers too.megaclom said:Oh! Are scientists and taxmen immune from the 95%(ish) corruption?

But not for units, right?EMan said:YES!.......And Civil Engineers too.![]()
