Windows 7/Random Events = OOS

Hi all,

if we turn random events on, players that have win7 got often OOS in the end of a MP game.

Anyone got a solution to fix it? (apart turning OFF random events )

I had a similar issue since I put windows 7 on one of my pcs, XP on the other one.
My friend and I are in the modern eara on a huge map and we would get OOS messages every few turns usually after a couple of random events.

I tried running civ in xp compatability mode on the windows 7 pc, this made a huge difference. We only had 1 oos in the next 4 hours and that may have been due to the slower pc acting as the host.

Just want to say thank you for finally solving this annoying OoS problem. I play MP game with a friend and we often start to get to these OoS problems every few turns in mid to late game. One system was running XP and the other one was 64bit Win7.

Switching to XP compatibility mode on a Win7 system (by right clicking the shortcut and selecting compatibility tab) has solved the problem completely and allowed us to enjoy the game again.

So thanks again and i hope this helps other sort out this issue.
