Surrender now, or not a single member of your pathetic kind will live.

To: Nations Concerned with Foreign Involvement with Bosnia
From: Kingdom of Vinland

Vinland will reassure all those whose feathers have been ruffled that our involvement with Bosnia is nothing more than a 10-year 30 EP development loan. Vinland earns money from interest interest, and Bosnia earns money by spending the loan on economic development projects.

Bravo! We applaud your decision, and await responses from the two factions of the Mayan civil war.

From Florida
To All It May Concern About Bosnia

Bosnia wished to place investment and development up for the international community, and has established numerous deals with various nations. The fact that many of these nations are from the Americas are merely testament to the energetic nature of the New World. The fact that these deals are proposed, deliberated and signed should seal them in the eyes of the international community, and no amount of bellyaching and complaining should convince Bosnia otherwise.

Florida is of the opinion that Rome and Russia are merely annoyed they were not able to achieve deals in Bosnia, and are using such complaints of Regional Interest to invalidate signed and sealed deals Bosnia has made.

Florida admits she is a vested interest in this region with her investment of 15EP, tariff reduction focused on quotas of Steel, and the opening of Bosnia and Bosnian corporations to more Floridian private investment.

We are not trying to invalidate the claims, we are trying to convince Bosnia to turn to regional help before seeking it abroad.

You mean future help? We have no problem with that. By its initiation, though, Bosnia's declaration was international, and could have easily been made regional if regional investors have appeared.

to Brazil:

Our nation is still in economic instability and peril, will you aid our national transportation project?

TO: Angola
FROM: Brazil

Until such a time as the violence subsides and anti-Brazilian protests are allowed to get violently out of hand under the nose of the government, we cannot invest into the Dominion. Brazil, concerned about the loss of a part of the empire, is considering increasing the garrison once more to original levels. Brazil will never allow the dictators waiting in the wings to break the fragile and newborn democracy that has been gifted to the Angolan people.

To: Vinland
From: General Ceh Pech of the Mayan Republic

As per your request we have engaged with the rebels in negotiations regarding the possibility of a ceasefire. They are unwilling to lay down their arms and we will continue to fight until they are all imprisoned or otherwise brought to justice for their crimes against the Mayan state.

To: Vinland
From: Chiam Cocom, leader of the Revolutionaries for the Freedom of the Mayan People

The general has no intent to negotiate in good faith. We will continue the fight until he can be brought to trial for his unjust government and tyrannical regime. We are certain that our varied allies will be allowed entry and encourage the international community to restrain themselves from more involvement than already exists. We are certain this war will be brought to an end shortly.

@Lord Iggy

Those are pretty neat. What program did you use?

Excel. :) To get the multi-coloured bar graph, I simply split the nations into three different columns, and made a graph of the 'stacked column' type.

Ah. So for us poorer members, Open Office. :p

The government of Angola will be very happy with the increase of the Garrison. Our forces are small and cannot even hope to protect the nation from an aggressive anti-Brazilian uprising. As you can ask your generals, they too are siding with the transport project for it will allow forces to quickly move across the country and will deny any revolt from holding territories far inland.

Please. The government of Angola has nothing to do with the revolts, only our economic situation and many embargoes do. Economic weakness causes citizen unrest, you, an open democratic nation, should know that.

If anyone has trade deals for Portugal, send them to me when you can; I'm punching in orders right now and will revise them as deals come in.

From Pontus
To Rome:

Do not worry. We will protect the rights of the Turkish citizens. No violence will be allowed. From now on, the army will move to stop any violence between Turks and Greeks and arrest those who started the fight. Racism will not be allowed! We assure you of that.

However, we would like to ask you to not intervee into our internal policy. To us, your post that Pontus cannot protect both Turks and Greeks sound to us like a pretext for an invasion to ''restore order''. Although we are friends of Rome, we will not allow Rome to either intervee into our internal politics or try to use a small crisis as a pretext to begin an invasion.

From Pontus
To Kurdistan:

An economic Union will have:

1) Trade between member States.
2) OB between member states to make trade more easy.
3) A common currency, although that can be negotiated.

From Pontus
To Kongo Society:

We will stand with you against the Proletarist scums.

News from the Kongolesiska Riksdag

In a surprising move today, the Riksdag nearly unanimously voted into effect the first Equality Act of the Kongo. Under the new law, native Afrikaners will have the opportunity to serve in the Kongolesiska military in special Svart Brigader (Black Brigades). This move is intended to create a sense of camaraderie between the ruling Vitt class and the native Svart. In addition, Afrikaner athletes will be allowed to compete for the Kongo Society's greater glory, including the renowned Abessinier runners of the highlands. Many citizens have applauded the revolutionary move, while others say it has not gone far enough. One svart shop-owner in Haraldsholm cynically remarked, "So now I can die for the Kongo Society, but I can't vote?" A bill to extend voting rights to the Svart class has been presented to the Riksdag in the past, though it has never managed to pass.

The Chancellor also announced today that the Kongo Society plans on expand the Empire's already large mining sector. The government has begun issuing permits to local companies in the Katanga, Kasai, and Ituri regions, where copper and cobalt, diamonds, and gold can be found, respectively. The government has also begun a program of taking control of the "ledig mark", the so called "vacant land", i.e. land not directly controlled by native tribes. The Kongo Society plans on using the ledig mark to create plantations of food, palm oil, and cotton. The government has also begun issuing deeds to enterprising Vitt class citizens from Haraldsholm.

The Riksdag had also voted to ban the film, Revolution in Review. The film is being denounced as Proletariat propaganda and all copies of the film in the Kongo have been destroyed.

From Pontus
To Rome:

And we will raise up arms against you again, if you invade us. Your recent rhetoric, that the state of Pontus will lead to war, that it cannot stop racism and now that Pontus is a rebel State, show nothing more than that you try to justify a possible invasion. We warn you, that an invasion will not end up well. We will also inform you, that we hope to have good relations with you, but not with such rhetoric you use.

If Pontus doesn't stop it's going to find itself surrounded by the German navy.

To: Pontus, Rome, Russia, Turkey, Kurdistan
From: Argentina

Argentina is disappointed that Pontus is trying to disrupt itself internally and externally. Over here in America, we believe that peace and stability has been absent far too long from that region; the Pontic leadership's racist and arbitrary provincial and electoral systems, their continued proclamation of support for issues which are inconsequential to Pontic citizens, and their inflammatory remarks against their Roman and Russian neighbors seem like nothing but an attempt at self-genocide. Argentina begs the Pontic leadership to preserve democracy and republicanism in Anatolia by engaging with its neighbors and citizens in a pragmatic, sensible way rather than the rather naive, vain air it has conveyed to us. Please, for the love of your Republic, heed our warning; your neighbors can only tolerate so much.
