setting way points?

Hi all,

Is it possible to set way points on each city so that new units made will go to the selected tile instead of having to click numerous times moving them to the tile you want?.

Select city, hold down shift, right click.

If you hold down alt while selecting city, every city is chosen, ctrl-> every city on that continent.

Technically these are rally points I think but I'm pretty sure that's what you meant. Waypoints can be done for unit move orders as well. Order them to move somewhere, then holding shift, select the next movement waypoint etc.

For rally points, alt-click selects all cities, control-click selects all on continent.

Be sure to un-select the target city that you want your units to move into, however, or it will just cancel rally points (you cancel rally points by right clicking on selected cities).

It is because of rally points and naval staging centers that I prefer naval shipping to airlifts by FAR in single player. So much less hassle to just select 12+ units and move them into the transport (or even galleons/galleys ).

ahh, i feel so stupid yet so happy.

i never realized right click canceled rally points, and thus setting them was never working for me as i never unselected the city i wanted to rally to. maybe i can actually finish some games again; i've generally been quitting once the result was clear as micro got annoying. thanks tmit; i've been convinced my game just didn't work for some reason as i've been trying shiftclicking and doubleclicking and shiftmiddleclicking and etc trying to figure it out. all those times trying to rally and i was just canceling rally points over and over

Now if there was only an "autofortify when you reach the ralley point" button so the units wouldn't have to bother you at all!

Man, I feel like George Jetson, I'm seriously complaining about having to hit 1 key here.

It's fair to complain about hitting one key if you have to hit it fifty million times!

I agree with the need for a feature that lets you auto airlift units.
