no. i cant cancel it, but i do need to redefine the Allies here.

Allies: only those who has signed an Alliance treaty with the Mathalamus Empire can be considered allies. currently no one is allied to me.

as the USSR pointed out, dismantling most of the navy, and the offensive capability of the Military can be considered vassalage of myself to Japan. i should have known about that sooner.

I took those out of the thing on the condition that you would help me in the war on Australia. Which you accepted.

USSR just used his charisma (something that I lack) to get you to turn on me and bend the rules of the agreement. If you notice, half the points he made talked about the agreement Mongolia offered, not mine which I think was much more fair.
I had logged off about 10 minutes before he made the post, which is the only reason why I didn't counter it until it was to late.

The people should be mad at your for your blinded trust in USSR, not for accepting vassalage to Japan.

Charisma had nothing to do with it. the USSR logically presented why it can be considered vassalage, and why i shouldn't accept it. since i clearly cannot argue against the truth, i listened to them. their leader probably went to a few logic schools.

the people were similarly impressed by the USSR, so no one was really upset that the USSR made a far better point than you did.

He didn't use logic, he bent the truth. How is that using logic?

He just did what every charismatic leader does, presents an argument that sounds Truth to the eyes of the naive, and as a result the naive fall into his trap. I don't see how it was anything close to vassalage.
 
im not naive. if the USSR was leading me to a trap, i would know about it. at present, they do not have anyting to gain by makign me the enemy.
 
Just so you are aware, before I signed a peace treaty, every single one of your lands was to be attacked 3 times. There was (based on the orders given) a 64.2% chance (based on the laws of probability I was taught in date management) that you would have been destroyed that turn. Then I signed peace. It was a trap as he was leading your nation to be destroyed in an attempt to get me to declare war on him, getting all the democracy's who had defensive pacts with USSR (a good 10 of them I believe) to declare war on me. He tried to sacrifice your nation so that I would be destroyed. I didn't fall for it, you did.

It wasn't an attempt to make you an enemy, it was an attempt to make me his enemy. Had he succeeded, you would have been eliminated (64% chance of that) but 4 fascist nations would have fallen with you.
 
Where the hell do you come up with such impossible hypothesises not everyones out to get you don't be dramatic.

@ Everyone, but Mathalamus and ilduce in particular: this sort of discussion is exactly the kind of thing I don't want to see in the thread. It basically consists of you two arguing about the subtleties of semantics and drivel which has little to no relevance to any other players. One or two posts I'm willing to tolerate, but if you want to carry on do so in PMs or in Groups.

Oh, I almost forgot. Places grouped together with boxes are considered the same province, and all are worth 1 XP to claim. They're mostly islands. I've compensated some countries with extra territories nearby.

I've also merged several provinces together, mostly in Africa and South America. Again, I've compensated where appropriate. Most of the territories merged are neutral anyway though.

if you do not object, the earlier agreement (five of my XPs for 5 of your LPs) is reinstated and will apply in peace time only.

a new religion has being (re)founded, in Mathis!

this new religion, called Mathalia, is an offshoot of Christianity, and the ony differences are:

1. Defense of Self, others, and the state is the most important belief. outside of the Holy trinity, that is.

2. Isolationism is recommended, Because you can get through life with little disappointments and Little Expectations. it allows you to Survive and Rely solely on yourself.

3. the only Authority that is supported in the holy book is the Authority over yourself. authority of the state, other people, Police, etc over your own life is not allowed. not even parents have a right to do anything more than Guide their children.

4. Evil is forbidden. the Holy book states that when the Person is Evil, it is classified as a mental illness, as humans are naturally Neutral or Good. a person who does an Evil action must do some Good actions to make up for it.

The religion has existed before, in Calgary, however, the Founding person and Only adherent has Died due to an Air raid over Calgary when the Canadian civil war broke out. he did, however, create a book, which survived as it was smuggled out to the United states, and somehow ended up on Madagascar.


the Emperor has studied the Holy Book carefully, and deduced that the new Religion is good, but will attract few followers due to its late founding.

the Holy book will not be Exported to other nations.
 
We will forbid the practice of this religion in Mongolia (Its a political threat to us) and we will execute all of its followers most painfully.

the Emperor is not surprised at the ,Mongolian declaration that Mahalia is forbidden. in a way, it is a political threat to fascists, but not Democracies, who usually tolerate Religions and religious people.
