Especially since he seems to think that threatening a nuclear power is wise. Even though said nuclear power will have enough nuclear weapons by the end of next turn to make irradiate Madagascar for a century.

Your petty National Guard under French command doesn't scare the French much. We never said you could break at any time or without consequence, the only thing we told you was "that you could declare independence from us if you where unsatisfied with your current arrangement", you could also rob a bank if your finding your self in need of money but both are inadvisable.

eugh. i suppose i could swallow my pride form a few years. but we are keeping the 'national guard', primarily because its more defensive than the french (who is a mix of offensive/defensive), and it lessens the strain on the french military.
