nexus 3D ASSET VIEWER not workiing!!

since the patch was installed i cant view any units in the nexus 3d asset viewer.....i click on the fxsxml, all the windows pop up but the 3D viewer is blank, the unit dont show....it not only happens with custom units but any unit!! any one else having this issue?

UPDATE: STILL NOT WORKING DESPITE NEW .332 PATCH
 
yea, having the same problem too....if you turn on the bones they still show, but not even in the correct positions. I wonder if theres somewhere we can get the old version of the SDK.

well, at least i know it wasent something i screwed up...what i get seems, from the positions of the bone display, like a 2D representation instead of a 3D

same for others?

Yes, this really sucks, big time. How have they managed to break one of the few things in Nexus that actually worked? You'd think they were actively trying to move CiV 3D art modding from merely tricky to completely impossible... the goons.

And unless they FIraXis that essential tool also, we might as well consider the whole task of Modding impossible enough to abandon any projects we currently are planning for until they do.
Don't forget ModBuddy itself hasn't been minimally documented as well.
It was their claim that this game would be (or already is) the most moddable in the franchise history, btw.

I basically already did. And I personally feel cheated by FIraXis and Sith Meyer because of the reasons you mentioned and because of the fact that I couldn't bring civ5 back to the store thanks to steam. I wish we could build some kind of rebellion against this behaviour, but I can't see how to force them to do anything... :(

Civ5 is dead for me as I can't play Hungary, can't add it in an adequate quality and wouldn't pay for a DLC package if it would be around...
 
Patience is in order if we are to recuperate our investment in such a title... i've reached out to RADTools in despair knowing how static the progress of SDK is.
What developers should understand is that Modders create their stuff for mostly personal reasons and while others aim for some recognition by releasing the independently made assets, we certainly aren't selling these which, btw, would be illegal.
Instead they could thank us for contributing supplemental features; Brad Wardell thanked me for the GCII work done.
That in itself is plenty rewarding while players enjoyed the X-Worlds & CoSH total_mods.
Devs are paid for these, cuz it's their profession.
 
this is an UPDATE to this thread....despite a WORKING 3D asset viewer initially, which was ruined by the first patch......well, it is still not working, despite the last patch....anyone have any ideas when graphic issues will be addressed for civ5 mods?

how to change registry entry ??
 
Run regedit.exe, navigate to
Code:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Firaxis\Nexus\Viewer
and change the Executable value to the full path of wherever you extracted the old version of the viewer.

EDIT: It will end with Nexus\x86\Viewer.exe

First, I'd suggest that you make a new thread in Creation & Customization, in the first post describe what you want to do, what you've done so far, what's the problem and if you have build a mod, zip it (from the mod's folder, not the project) and attach it to your post.

Also from what I've gathered so far from your posts, I don't understand why you want to use the nexus viewer, but we'll see in your new thread.
