(RFC) The Ottoman Empire

Here is my next story. Sorry it took so long. This story probably won't be as long the Mongol story, but I hope to make it just as awesome. As always I'm going for the UHV, but I also want to know what else I should try to do. Here are some of my ideas for other things the Ottomans should try to accomplish:

1. Control all the historical Ottoman Empire before I conquer anything else.
2. Conquer Germany and Spain.
3. ?

Feel free to post things you think I should do, as well as your reason why. Now let's finally get started with the story.

For today's chapter: Constantinople Falls!

That will change, summer has finally started for me

The Turkish people are one of the last peoples to migrate into the Middle East. But, they possess a determination to rule and a will for empire. They finally arrive in western Anatolia by the late 13th century, and upon seeing that great city on the Bosphorus known to the world as Constantinople, they know what their first target must be. Constantinople must be made the seat of Ottoman power!

The siege begins with Ottoman cannons pounding into the thick walls of Constantinople.



The Turks have been almost barbaric for years, but now Mehmed decided it was time he changed the civics of the Ottoman people.



By 1300, the rest Anatolia is awed by the aggression of this new Turkish people and petitions Mehmed, the ruler of the Ottomans, to join him. He readily accepts.



By 1300, the defenders of Constantinople have been overrun by Ottoman forces and the city is captured!



Islam spreads to the eastern cities of Anatolia, and Mehmed decides to convert to Islam. On a military level, hoping to take advantage of this weakness in the Independent Byzantines, Mehmed sends a division of knights to attack and capture Athens. The Ottoman knights succeed by 1320.



The Ottomans have captured the Jewel of the East, that elusive prize that not even the armies of Islam have been able to capture. What an auspicious beginning for the great Ottoman Empire! They must build up their strength in the Balkans and in the Middle East, for soon a great war will be upon them. May the Empire live for ever.

No, it's historical that the ottomans reached Vienna, only to be beaten back. From then on they were toast.

The Ottomans are great for conquests, but I don't like moving into Europe too early. If I move too far north, I would only provoke the Europeans to attack me before I would the infrastructure to defend myself. If I do conquer Vienna and move that far north, it won't be for a while.

cuz i was there!

Good, but why didn't you started with DoC? it makes RFC more enjoyable and adds a true Byz civ and makes Germany start at Vienna (that's a awesome city, so that's even better)

oh, you made me want (even more) to start my first ever Ottoman game in RFC

I'd rather have it on Abundance, Byzantine, HRE (which starts in Vienna), and Germany

Nah, DoC changes a bunch of things to make it more historical and stuff. I can't play RFC without it
