Okay, I'll try to give this a shot since I wasn't back frequenting here in time to play the regular season pick 'em. But I must warn you ahead of time that I am not a great picker. OTOH, I guess that doesn't really impact the likelihood of my winning or losing . . .

EDIT: Oh, is editing allowed after the bowl season starts? I know that was a big deal in past pick 'ems I've done

Idaho Potato: MAC 3 vs. WAC 2
New Orleans: MWC 4 vs. Sunbelt 3

If any of these games aired on a Tuesday during the regular season, I wouldn't watch . . .

I think those years are behind me, though with all the points I have at stake here I may reconsider with the way the game is going. I'm already down somewhere between 7th and 9th in Max Points after that Utah State disaster.

That's what's nice about pick 'ems -- it makes these pointless games interesting. And I'm doing better in my ESPN pick 'em, since more of that group picked Wyoming in game 1 . . .

It bothers me the way this announcer keeps pronouncing the first syllable of 'Lafayette' like 'laugh'. I'm not saying he's wrong, but I've always heard it pronounced with more of an 'ahh' sound . . .

Up by 9, and he finally gets it right . . .

And he uses the unacceptable alternate pronunciation of 'poinsettia'! Inconceivable!

I'm starting to wonder why I gave so much weight to this game . . .

Oh, and this guy who won't wipe the blood off his face is a frickin' idiot . . .

And y'all thought Alabama's kickers were bad . . .
