All right, I started changing around the map, the Bosporans took the Russian start. Parthians, Armenians, and Seleucians coming soon to it. I expext this to start in a week or so.
By the way, this is going to start in 4000 BCE, not the originally targeted date.
I am officially announcing the start of this will be during my Spring Break which starts in about 1 week. Also, **** the Parthians, the Mediterranean and Middle East is already overcrowded (Seleucians, Bosporans, Armenians, me, AND Augustus... ), and I expect that China and India- with no one else in that area- are going to be late-game superpowers. All updates will be 10-100 turns, depending on how much of a wall of text I want you to deal with
I will also have a list of links in the OP to the chapters for you when this starts. Aren't I nice?
She heard the shouts of the Roman soldiers as they searched the temple for her. She sighed, as she knew her time on Earth was done. Cleopatra reached into the box, and she felt the stab of the asp's fangs bite into her skin. As the venom seeped through her veins, she felt both extreme pain and relief as everything turned white. The Roman legionaries burst in the room and found her corpse on the cold floor, dead.

"You have failed me, Cleopatra," Isis's voice echoed throughout the hall of the gods.
"Antony was the cause," Cleopatra responded. "If he hadn't been so greedy, we would have succeeded in our goals."
"That is why I have decided to let you try again," the goddess stated. "The Romans are no match for our historic civilization. Crush our enemies, my daughter."
"As you wish, Isis." Cleopatra disappeared in a flash of light.

4000 BC, Thebes
Spoiler:
I find the city of Thebes, just as I remembered it-pathetic. Located on marshy floodplains, the city seemed to constantly sink into the ground last time, and this time too. Worse, insects attacked me at every turn, and until I reached the pharaoh's chambers, they decided I was a great target. The pharaoh greeted me, and asked who I was. I responded by saying, "Isis," and he died on the spot. I assumed the position of pharaoh, and I will hold it to my last breath.
3850 BC
Spoiler:
A man named Saladin was met by my warriors who were out exploring.I don't recall ever meeting this man before, but he seems to own the Arabian Peninsula. This might be a problem...
Saladin: Greetings, Cleopatra! it is an honor to meet you! May the heavens bestow upon you an empire only slightly less glorious than mine!
Cleopatra: I believe I am the one who is truly blessed by the gods, Saladin. Them's fightin' words.
Sladin: Pardon?
Cleopatra: Nevermind... Let's have peace, okay? Leave. Now.
3575 BC
Spoiler:
We receive news of two religions being founded. As neither of them are the one my people follow, we ignore this for now, but I know this will be of interest later.
3425 BC
Spoiler:
I meet Hannibal. Interesting man. He needs a shave, that's for sure.
Hannibal: The glorious Carthaginian people welcome the cute little civilization of Egypt!
Cleopatra: But we aren't little or cute!
Hannibal: That's what they want you to think
3350 BC
Spoiler:
My warriors find a group of workers that call themselves the "Village People." Apparently, they want to help our naion by building our empire, but the annoying part is that they sing while working. It's not even good music!
Mansa Musa appears. He is another person I do not remember at all. He is in eastern Africa, apparently.
3075 BC
Spoiler:
The Village People gain popularity, and more of the people in the countryside decide to join my nation to see their singing. Well, I guess they help after all...
3025 BC
Spoiler:
We found a herd of wild horses to the south of Thebes. I can finally start building my war chariots and open up the Arabian Peninsula if I desire it to happen.
2750 BC
Spoiler:
The audacity of some people! This Saladin has the balls to put a city right next to my borders! I might have to teach him a lesson for that one.
(OOC: somewhere in the S&T archives a few pictures on my first story died because I had to delete them all. Oh well )
GEM 4.1, with a few edits to the Civs in use (I added most of the civs in the Mediterranean in the Vanilla game plus the Seleucians, Armenians, and Bosporans, and I put Pacal in America)
Sorry for sort of letting this die, I got distracted by EU3
Anyway, time for Update 2! By the way, I'm now using Imgur just to make the loaking time quicker.
------
Thankfully the Village People couldn't sing a song when some of Egypt's workers domesticated some horses. And despite the years going by, people still join that horrid group. Time to prepare the War Chariots and go after the Arabians soon...
Spoiler:
Around the same time, we hear of Judaism being founded in a distant land. Isis apparently decides not to reveal the location of these monotheistic people to me.
2450 BC
Spoiler:
Our metalsmiths have finally discovered how to make bronze! With every passing second, we approach the time of destoying the Arabic Civilization!
Spoiler:
To assist our various projects and buildings, we adopt Slavery. :whip:
2300 BC
Spoiler:
Isis came to me in a dream, and told me that the seemingly pathetic land of Saladin's capital has mineral value. She tells me to conquer, not burn, and I shall do so.
2275 BC
Spoiler:
The mythical Chinese Civilization exists, apparently. I wonder how well that wall stops soldiers...
2250 BC
Spoiler:
Memphis is founded in a decent spot. Maybe we might find a use for those elephants in the future.
(OOC:
Spoiler:
I found this to be an interesting spot. All of these tiles were near a river, but not at all with floodplains! )
1950 BC
Spoiler:
We finally start mining copper in the eastern area of Thebes.
1925 BC
Spoiler:
To continue our exploration, we ask Mansa Musa to allow our warriors access into their land. He accepts.
1800 BC-1775 BC
Spoiler:
The next group of settlers heads out into the north at the Nile Delta, only to find that their location is too close to Medina. This means war.
Spoiler:
Spoiler:
In other news, some idiot put a piece of string between a V-shaped stick and used it to fire a stick at someone, and it killed the poor target. The killer was immediately executed, and then someone started training our city guards with the weapon.
