What's the civilization you would most like to see in Civilization V

What's the civilization you would mostly like to see in Civilization V?

I agree with Vietnam, but I personally would focus more on the Dai Viet era than the modern era. Maybe have a Vietcong Guerrilla as a UU anyway

I wouldn't mind seeing that either. It's a catch-22, I would like to see the more traditional culture of a place like Vietnam represented, but I'd also like to see more interesting modern-focused civs in the game. At the end of the day I think Ho Chi Minh's significance is pretty high, and I'd like to see Civ represent not just the big empires but also some anti-empires.

I voted for morocco, seeing as Spain has no challengers to North Africa (this can be changed by Carthage, but still) Also, we only have a few Muslim civs (egypt kind of, carthage kind of, Arabia, Ottomans, Persia, Songhai kind of) compared to the tons of European civs (France, England, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Russia, Byzantines, Rome, Spain, Denmark, Greece, Celts)

In this poll, can I ask everyone to post their choice of the exact civ, if they chose a grouped option?
I know some of you already did
Thanks ;)

Some of the grouped options seem quite popular btw
Probably Vietnam, Assyria and Israel/Hebrews

Indonesia's votes are the double or triple(or more) of all civs.
That's clearly a sign of the universe that Indonesia WILL be a DLC or expansion civ.

Voted for Indonesia. Its the part of the world that people dont know much about and I would like to see how it would be represented in Civilization V. Other interesting choices would be: Hittites, Israel (but that's politically problematic, unfortunately), Sioux, Kongo, Morocco, Vietnam, Tibet, Gran Colombia and Brazil.

And we all know how much Civilization 5 represents civilizations in history and culture.

“And in the year 1827, Indonesia went to war against Rome over the right to control the territories of North America and several colonies Southern Africa and South America."

I voted for Timurids/Mughals. While these may overlap the existing civs but so is the case with Byzantines, Ottomans, Greeks & Romans.

Oh, there are so many good choices! I voted for "a different Central Asian civ", because I would love to see a DLC/scenario pack with the Jurchen/Manchu as a civ, the Tibetans as a civ, and have it cover Chinese history from the Song dynasty forward. Lot of good stuff there.

I'd also like to see a Portugal/Kongo/Zulu/Boer scenario covering the colonial era in southern Africa. It's a much overlooked period and place in history.

Other - The Republic of Venice.

That's right I went there...

Indonesia!
UA: Emeralds of the Equator - plus 1 hammer from every sea resources, and 1 culture from every jungle tiles.
UU: Phinisi (traditional trading ship of the bugis trader, reached india and china in history, and have been tried to travel around the world not so long ago).
Replace trireme. Can enter ocean tiles, low maintenance cost.
UB: Syahbandar
replaces harbor,
forms trade route, 1gold from every luxury tile, 2gold for spice.

The problem with a lot of these civs is we just don't know enough about them. Very little is known about Great Zimbabwe, Olmecs, Toltecs, Chaco Canyon civilization, and most of the Peruvian city states.

I would pick Portugal, The Cherokee, Khmer, and Mexico. The Empire of Mexico was a pretty strong power. I am hoping that Ethiopia doesn't fixate on just the modern. There was a continuous civilization in that part of the world for a very long time starting with Aksum.

Chose other NA civs, mainly focusing on the Inuits. I mean it just makes the most sense to me, there is a snow terrain yet no unit can really take advantage of it yet.

indonesia has more potential for being empire under majapahit rule
so i vote indonesia instead thats also my country :D

I voted Majapahit,Khmer & Tibet.
