Victor looked on the map, his fingernails digging into his palms as he remembered the Austrian Army secured their control over Venetia over the past few months. "What have I done wrong?" he asked himself. However his face was still when he finished, looking up into the worried eyes of Borgia and Machiavelli.
They should be worried. Father had the tendency for punishing ineffective officials.
"Well?'
"The main problem, sire, is that we haven't started lying yet" said Machiavelli, "Once the lying commences, the Diplomacy will Flow."
"The real problem" said Borgia, "is that we trust our opposition to lie, but do not lie ourselves. We have to leave open the rare possibility that they are speaking the truth sometimes."
Victor looked on the map again. Lying, to think of it! He's a bad lier since, well, his father forbid him from lying.
He's just out of practice.
He looked back at his ministers again. If he doesn't lie, that doesn't mean Italy won't.
It's good to be King.
