I will update later today, as soon as I get back home from some uni tour.

I think I'm going to have to drop out of this one, it's a good NES but for some reason I can't really get into it. Sorry. :/

OOC: This is nothing close to what I had planned, but RL is a , you know, and I want to contribute just something to match what I wrote earlier.

IC: The Plan and The Power

Rain lashed the roof.

"My faithful soldiers! The Dread Citadel cannot fight the Kagaia Tekasu as a spirit, and so I have gathered you today to be empowered by the spirit of Nogaia."

Lighting flashed through the air.

"Even at this moment, Tekasu, the great Cyclops, nears our shores!"

The rumble of thunder rose, rattling the already shaking frames of nearby houses.

"Soldiers of Yakot, pray tonight and let your soul fortify the Dread Citadel against our common foe. Soldiers of Yakot, rise tomorrow, and show Kagaia that the spirit of Nogaia is strong! Show Kagaia that we will remake everything he unmakes, rebuild everything he debuilds, and raise everything he levels!"

In response, the men and women of the raised militia smashed their right fist onto their left shoulder plate, the dull thud temporarily louder than the approaching storm.

Queen Dekasu walked outside as her guards helped her onto a covered Sedan. Next to her was the dying Priest which held the soul of the Unspeakable king, he was coughing up blood in ever greater amounts.

"That was it. Four thousand, one for each quarter. A thousand in reserve within the Citadel and a thousand in the countryside among our Fort-towns, to prevent their fall."

The priest hacked, then choked out a deep voice, "You have done well, Dekasu. Unfortunately, your son did not fortify this body as much as I would have hoped. We must hurry to the Tahe barracks, so that we may consummate our" the body of the medium coughed again, even as the selasi dwelling within it paid no mind and spoke over the spewing blood, "souls for the future of Nogaia."

Queen Dekasu felt a flutter in her heart as he said his words, then she took her head out and yelled, "tell these Kele to walk faster! The worthless scum are to blame for all delays! And send a messanger to see if they finished closing off the ports!"

--------------------------

The Tahe guardswomen smiled as the Fulan merchant inspected her cargo. The fleet had traveled well, two barges and many curraghs housing a thousand Tahe behind the devastation of Kagaia Tekasu. After splitting earlier, five hundred of her comrades are now waiting for the signal.

"What is this?"

"Supplies, generously given by the Dread Queen herself."

"Poison! Treachery! Trick!"

"You think so low of your fellow Nogaia?" The female Tahe inched uncomfortably close to the merchant, "We volunteers have come here with supplies and men willing to help you rebuild, and you disrespect us." She leaned even closer, enjoying his sweat as she played her act, "Of course... I would be especially thankful if you let us in. I might even forget why I was so angry."

The stammering merchant assented, and the barge entered the city. She watched the moon rise, waiting for the signal as her fellow Tahe begun carrying grain into the Mother of Pearl.

-----------------

When the night eats the moon, Dread shall rule Nogaia.

I have begun the update but I probably won't finish until tomorrow-Sunday.

Sad to see you go Optic, but can't say I'm surprised :p. You chose like the most boring place ever lol. Maybe later you will join as somewhere more entertaining will appear.

Aww :(, was hoping it would be up when I got home. Anyways, cannot wait :D.

If the update does come out around Sundayish, do you still expect orders by next wednesday or will you set a different deadline?

Sheesh this is taking so long (thou I admit, concentration isn't my best trait), Done with most of the world, only Wanju and Nogaia remain. But I'm resting for a bit.

From next turn (not this) do note the military rule change.

No problem in taking a minor break in order to make a better update. Everybody likes nice updates here and there.

You can just put "Terrance's orders are so awesome and the fact he is so nice to me when I was Egypt, I let him win. GG" ;)

ETA on update?

Update 3: So it's set

Iatody
As the Adahy confederation develops the structure of the society is slowly renewed. A system of vassalage is created between the different people, as the elder council of the confederation become the highest ranking lords. While this has mostly gone peacefully, some people refused to swear allegiance to some other, more influential person, and many do not follow the new way. Actually most do not. But one spot where this feudalism has successfully taken place is a growing new town at the edge of the Uhia River, at the coast. The small town sends small boats to trade along the river and along the coasts.

While the confederation progresses it no longer pushes on outside tribes, allowing them time to settle down and remain peaceful and trade with the Adahy. Yet not all tribes are peaceful. From beyond the known parts of the Uhia River rumors come of a cruel warlike tribe that conquers all around him. They are said to have taken over most of the northern Uhia River and enslave the population there and are now rumored to move south.

Iberia
The ongoing Iberian war is one of the largest wars in the world, being fought among several tribal confederations. The Tricarum constant expansion pushed many tribes into each other's arms and created an alliance to reconquer the northern bank of the Marius River. While at first Tricarum seemed lost, a new tribe by the name of Xurxu offered them support.

At first the great Iberi tribes attempted to cross the river in several spots, using their vast numbers to push forward. They most failed, but a single bridge was taken and the Iberi quickly occupied vast farmlands in the north of Tricarum. But then the Xurxu forces came to aid in the defense of Tricarum and in a massive scissor strategy removed the Iberi from the Tricarian side of the river causing massive losses among the Iberi.

The tides then turned when the Tricarian forces marched through the same bridge and conquered lands from the Iberi. The loss caused great fear among many tribes that left the union and begun to migrate westward into new lands, bringing with them farming and military techniques. But since Xurxu did not bring any trained forces and the Tricarian soon ran out of food to feed their troops, the march had to stop and the Iberi successfully countered the Tricarian advance. Tricarum still controls the important crossing that may still prove to be important for the war, but the Iberi still vastly outnumber both the Tricarians and Xurxu together, if only they could mouth this forces for a more direct assault.

Nassiri
As the Nassiric-Minoan war slowly continued, the invasion of the Ionian horde was answered by a united Nassiric voice from all of the lands. As many forces that could be mustered in such a short time were. More than ten thousand men from all across Nassiri were trained and equipped and most were sent to fight the Ionian threat. But not all.

The Minoan-Nassiric War became much smaller, as most of the forces of Nassiros were called to defend the city from the Ionian horde, leaving a small force behind to defend and making sure it is constantly supplied by barges. The kings of Minoa chose to not assault the small outpost, not out of fear of Nassiros, but out of thinking about the Ionians. The Ionian horde had more than twenty thousand men, trained and equipped for war, Minoa could not risk itself by weakening their only line of defense, Nassiros. Yet they could also not allow the insolence of an enemy colony upon their shores. They will wait for the Ionian War to end before they will do any move…

The forces mustered by the Nassiric culture were greatly outnumbered. And when it became obvious that Nycheos aligned itself with the Ionian horde things became far less comfortable. Most allied forces camped near Nassiros, Troja and Eubeis chose to protect the Trojan front. Ten thousand men may have been hired for this war, but they were outspread through the front. The Ionians were far more concentrated in their efforts.

First ten thousand men marched on the last outpost of Hudeos on the mainland. Nassiros answered that move by closing them in and cutting their supplies. Yet while the first Ionian force was dying of hunger before it assaulted the Nassiric force, another ten thousand men marched into some tribal lands between Nassiros and Troja. That conquest connected the Ionian horde and the Nychean "traitors", bringing sweet fear to the Trojan king.

In the south of Chymed the Ionian force broke through the Nassiric land forces and returned home. Nassiros did not sit idle and quickly occupied the southern outposts and removed any Ionian population that settled down by bleeding them dry, sending a powerful warning to the Ionian hrode – if it wishes to settle down, it will have to destroy the current occupation of the land.

And then came what no one expected. Ionian forces, supported by the Nychean fleet were sent straight to Nettered quickly occupying islands and lands north of Eubeis. The Nycheans sent Trojans and Eubians in Troja a message – those who support Troja, will die. The force, a very large one, then invaded Eubeis, slaughtered the population and burned the city to the ground. Some of the population managed to escape and high and the hilly north of Eubeis but the success of the horde was grand.

The next move of the horde was not easily explained. Nassiros, in their interest of protecting the homeland, marched out and conquered lands from the horde. They have done so easily, although this time less harshly. They found many small, rather peaceful, villages, speaking the Ionian dialect. The southern part of the horde seems to have moved somewhere else as the people there chose to settle down, afraid of more Nassiric bloody vengeance upon them, rather than invading further into the coast. The northern part of the horde chose to invade Troja.

The Siege took seven years and yet Troja would not fall. With most forces helping Nassiros, or merely afraid of supporting Troja for fear of the Nychean naval support to the horde, the Trojans were closed within their walls, but surprisingly held the city against the invasion. Eventually the Ionians grew bored of the siege and moved north, allowing the Troja to recapitulate and take their farmlands. Many horde settlers were removed, most of them escaped to Nycheus, making the city's population explode with Ionians, that quickly became a majority of the population, making it bigger and stronger, but making the Nycheans pay dearly for their treachery – they were practically gone, replaced by a different group.

The horde crossed the northern water passages and settled down in the northern part of Nassiri. The war of the Ionian horde nearly died out, as more of the horde have by now settled down than moved forward. Many left Chymed to Nettered and settled in the old city location of Eubeis. Small Ionian towns quickly grew to become small fledging cities. The invasion died out.

And as said before, the Minoans waited for this moment. The Minoan army quickly marched upon the Nassiric outpost, only to find a strong defense by Nassiros. The outpost remained in Nassiros hands, but the Minoans were now considered much less of a threat after the Ionian war and many begun to open trade with them, and indeed they had what to trade for.

Italia
As the Ionian War erupts in Nassiri, the influence is felt in Italia. Surprisingly, it caused a growth in trade as more tools and weapons were sold to the far west. Wars in Italia, and peace, brought its own growth.

The Cittabacco victory was used to its fullest. The empty city was settled by the Sanctum Populum and made into a holy site. Wine trade was completely taken over by the Cittabacco making them rich and powerful. Eventually all this growth had to be paid for, for Bacco was good to the Cittabacci. And so the work on a great stone temple had begun in the capital, a holy structure that will soon become the center of their faith. Just one small thing the Cittabacco did was not wise. A quick fight with a small western tribe brought under their control an area filled with much needed stone, but it also brought news – a horde is marching, and it is nearby.

In Talon the confederation went through massive changed. The flow of trade made them richer, luckily in time as their army had become far larger than ever before and was hard to maintain. The vast number of tribes among the coalition caused friction and problems, and stability soon took a hit to the worse when some other tribes other than Talon entered the era of civilization. Several new towns erupted, each quickly growing in power and in influence. Right in time for the coronation of a powerful despotic king over the confederation. Each city accepted the king for now, but in each city an elite family of its own grew to great power, demanding influence and power from the king. Will he give them this power?

While Talon grew so did the new population across Italia. New towns grew out of the borders as well, growing in power and influence among the once grand horde. The name of these people was found by Taloni diplomats – the Latins.

In Romarge growth continued as the grand new port allowed far greater room for trade barges and expanded the trade capabilities of the city. This peaceful growth was eventually used for some much more. Raising their entire army they invaded Carome in a single night. Carome, being more populated, had a large militia that stopped the invasion, but at sea their trade suffered as well as their economy, and from within the city became wholly unstable as the population wanted to release themselves from the cruel merchant rule.

As the siege continued and supplied were shrinking a genius general of the only trained unit of the Caromean army took over the forces and declared full control over the city. The merchant council was arrested and sent to its death by being thrown off the walls. The genius general trained new units and eventually succeded in pushing away the Romargi invasion. He have sent since diplomats to speak about a peace proposal with Romarge.

Fertile Crescent

Seeing Hadraak as the leaders of the Sumerian uprising the Gutia forces surround the city early on and lay a complete siege to it. Luckily for the Hadraak boats still successfully cross the river between Hadraak and Kadibra to bring small supplies. Yet the supplies are very small, and since Kadibra was under attack by Gutia not long ago, the amounts they can supply shrink vastly. Yet not all is lost when the Hadraaki Harnn force assaults the siegers and successfully makes a breach through the enemy with support from the militia inside the city. Yet try as they may the Hadraaki remain locked within their city, with only the river giving them life.

But not all is well for the Gutia. While Kadibra and Uruk are somewhat weak they succeed in sending forces out and conquering enough farmlands to self-sustain. The rebels are successful in surviving, while Gutia succeeds in denying further rebellions to burst.

But neither will be able to keep fighting for long for the Aryan horde has come. Looking for a new homelands the horde have seen the fertile crescent for what it is, a rich area for farming, and has come rushing down upon the Gutians, conquering all the lands north of the rivers, preparing now to march south. A small part of the horde went north and pacified the northern city states, who now pay it tribute. Will it choose a side in the Gutian-Sumerian war? Will it conquer everyone?

In Armass a decay of civilization was seen. While peaceful coexistence continued, the small tribes remain small and unimportant, as trade diminishes after the Gutian-Sumerian wars, and the area becomes nothing more than a memory. Perhaps one day the Armass will rise again. An important effect of this decay is the end of any sort of communication between the rising Indus civilization and the Fertile crescent people.

Indus Valley
Agh at you.

Galies Bay
The Inglias tribes have survived flood before, but this one the mother of all waves. More than 20 meters high, it broke through the Inglian old seawalls and flooded the new growing nation. Not only the Inglian tribe, but all the tribes of the bay suffered greatly.

The disaster forced a changed personality on the Inglians. Rather than melting against the water, they became stronger, hardier. Death was no longer of any importance, it was a known fact that will soon come upon anyone. So if you will die, why not go out with a bang? New sea walls were built, larger than ever before, small farming communities and growing towns were overpopulated awaiting the next destruction, building as high as they could on stilts made of plenty of wood. Stone was imported from further tribes to build stronger structures, as temples became houses of safety for preparations to the next great wave.

Another grand wave did not come, but the Inglians evolved further than before, as the first cities were beginning to appear.

Xin
Xin
In the lands of Xin wars slowly became a daily ordeal. With Xian paying their tribute to Harhana, the horde directed its entire might against the city of Ikenmai while they sent most of their forces against Xian. That did not go well. The war horde finally beaten the Ikenami armies and now lays siege to their capital. The entire trained army of Ikenami was destroyed in the process and the Harhana now plan to pillage the city and burn it. Lost with nothing to do, the Ikenami lower their heads and beg for support from their surroundings.
While Ikenami falls the alliance of the four kings, or better known as as the Siwang League is signed in Chu'zuna and the first order of business – saving Yuanti. Forces are quickly amassed and sent west from Xian and Chu'zuna, leaving only Jinzhou incapable of raising a capable force to help, promising to do so soon.

The united army arrived at Yuanti just in time. The siege is stopped and the O'mase are sent fleeting for their survival. Yuanti is saved. Thankful they send gifts to Xian and Chu'zuna and asks them to push forward against O'mase. For now no continuation of the war has happened, and O'mase have sent diplomats to sign peace.

Wanju
The city of Haisho continues to build up. Walls and farmlands are grown across the city and country. Eventually the growth becomes great enough that the king looks beyond his borders. Rumors of a rise in barbarian activity in the north brings him to decide on a settling party to the Kaishaku Island, led by prince Huten.

Some small islands are settled but the main island's population rufeses the settlers and fight against any small outposts. The death of the prince in a skirmish with the Kaishaku natives stops the settling and the day is declared a day of mourning.

While Haisho grows and settles, the Huljuu and Tanuta tribes unite after a royal wedding and fall upon the city states of Wanju. All city states are possible targets for the coming rage.

Nogaia
The hurricane comes and strikes hard into the small island of Nogaia. Tens of thousands die in the storm, destruction is everywhere. In Yakot the rulers and priests blame the storm upon the Fisofi and send aid to the other city-states. Among the Fisofi the storm is blamed upon the Kele – and preparations are made.

Aid to the other cities? No. The Yakot true aim was to surprise attack the other two city states from inside, thinking their leaderships to be stupid enough to let Yakot forces to help and concentrate in the center of the town. When a Tahe officer is caught trying to enter the palace of Patu he is taken away and tortured until the truth comes out. Immediately Patu sends an order to kill all Yakot's forces within the city, and the job is quickly done, with few losses on Patu's side. The news soon reaches Fula that quickly makes the same order, but there most Yakots escape the city in time.

The treacherous move brings Patu and Fula closer together, as they cement their new found friendship in an alliance and a royal wedding. And let us not forget, a promise to burn Yakot into the ground...

But all that is all fine and dandy. The Fisofi strike. The farmlands of Fula goes under rebellion as the Fisofi strike hard and quick, laying a siege to the city. This attack is the first trial for the new alliance, and Patu sends forces and supplies to aid Fula. Is this the time of Yakot to reclaim their leadership?

OOC IMPORTANT
Note that military rules have changed a bit. Now to train a unit you must also wait the turn for it to train. You can use untrained militia directly now, but they will be far from useful.

Names required: The four Ionian cities. (The Eubeis one can remain Eubeis).

Did I want to say anything else? I dunno...

OOC: i've got to questions.

1. Concerning the temple. I spend 1 EP on that last turn but progress according to the stats is 0/5?
2. New military rule, does that include my Sanctum Populum? They always train, when they do not work the fields/quarry stone.

1. fixed
2. Your Populum always exist. They are just only usable in wartime.

To Carome
From Romarge

We will only accept, at the very least, you become our 'vassal.'

Failure to accept will result in further war.

OOC: Shouldn't Carome's 3 units be -3 upkeep?

And how do they have such a large militia force if the population is held there against their will?
