Today the final votes have been tallied and the new distribution of the Grand National Assembly has come in, but first a recap of the major and minor parties in the election.


Major Parties:

Republican People's Party (Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi):
This Party is center-left leaning, following the ideology of Kemalism or Atatürkism, it is Social Liberal and advocates for Social Democracy, came from the Republican People's party of the Republic of Turkey in The Turkish Commonwealth



Justice and Development Party (Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi):
The center-right party in Turan, this party advocates for economic liberalism, and social conservationism, this party also came from the former Justice and Development party of the Republic of Turkey.



Turkic Nationalist Party (Türk Milliyetçi Partisi):
the leading Far-right party, this parties ideology is one of extreme nationalism and conservatism, many of its critics have called it, "as Fascist as you can be without being Fascist" and "the only thing that is more Fascist than this party is the Fourth Reich", came from the former Nationalist Movement Party of the RoT



Democratic Party (Demokrat Parti):
Another center-right party, sharing similarities with the J&D however its more conservative and nationalist leanings lead to little cooperation between them, but is seen by many as a middle ground between the more moderate J&D and the TNP. Formed from the old Democratic Party of Turkey


Grand Union Party (Büyük Birlik Partisi):
A moderate party, advocating for greater cooperation between Turks and Non-Turks in government affairs and in The Great Turan, Formed with the annexation of Iran and has only grown in power since then. Its symbol is the blue circle with a white center, representing cooperation and peace. (yah im lazy i may improve this later)

When the Grand National Assembly of the Turks received America's letter this was their response:

The year started with a furious spate of action in Europe and the Middle East as the Egyptian Army marched against the Caliphate and Italy. Though Italy managed to inflict casualties disproportionate to its mere numbers on the attacking Egyptian force, both nations fell to the Republic. However, the lack of a defensive reserve again stung Egypt as another revolt swept through Jordan. This time, there's no doubt whatsoever that someone - or several someones - was behind it. Meanwhile, explosions tear apart the industrial heartland of the Wali Emirates, shattering dozens of factories. At the same time, a 'spontaneous' popular uprising sweeps through Morocco - in the name of the Egyptian Republic. Is Cairo behind this, or are they framed?(New NPC: Palestine. NPC Claims: Jordan. Province: Morocco switches to Egyptian Republic. Opportunity: Egyptian Republic and Wali Emirates may each drop DEFCON by one level for free this turn. This will not count as their DEFCON change for the turn.)

Little of note occurs in Asia. Siberia is handed to the FUSSPLR after a 7IP payment is received. The Great Turan attempts to sabotage a Northern Watch missile silo in Japan, but the Watch's watchmen manage to repulse their spies. Whether this incident will spark a larger clash between the two nations remains to be seen.(Opportunity: Northern Watch and Great Turan may drop DEFCON by one level for free this turn. This will not count as their DEFCON change for the turn.)

In North America . . . .

In North America, the first warning the United States received of the impending war was when the Emirate Navy swept across the Atlantic, fanning out to secure its supply lanes. One US Frigate stood in the way of the enroaching armada. Victory was impossible against such high odds, but the United States Navy of this age has not forgotten the legacy of John Paul Jones. An Emirate frigate was sunk with all hands near Bermuda as the USN vessel withdrew in good order to Newfoundland, linking up with the rest of the US Atlantic Fleet - but this is a mere pittance against the typhoon crossing the Atlantic. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of Emirate soldiers pour ashore, and at the same time Montrealite armies and planes cross the border in the largest land military operation since Operation Barbarossa in WW2.

The Southern US falls swiftly to Emirate forces, the scattered, disorganized and underfunded US Army routing en masse in the face of the well-commanded, prepared and air-supported Emirate elements. The Great Plains, the Midwest and New England are seized by Montreal with little to no resistance. The Emirate army attempts to seize the Midatlantic, but a stirring defense from US regulars in Philiadelphia, New York and DC manages to hold back the tide - for now, and in spite of losses so crippling the Pentagon decides simply to move the survivors to reinforce other companies rather than reconstitute the existing one. Casualties among the invaders are comparatively light.

The United States of America, never the world's greatest power, has now been reduced to a shattered wreck laying claim only to Texas, Deseret and the Midatlantic. They have no hope of surviving against the Emirates and Montreal on their own - but such unwarranted transatlantic aggression might not win the Emirates and Montreal friends in the international community. Turan will not be bullied by you, espionage happens, and I see no problem with the invasion of America, they have never been the bastion of freedom that they claim to be, they have oppressed their own people and silenced the elected government of others, their time in the sun has finished, they get what they deserve.

You also murdered Turan men, I like how you left that out, and I don't see any other rogue nuclear powers left, China has been taken care of, and no one else is threatening nuclear war, the only nations with a substantial amount of nukes left are, Uswalli, who hasn't done much, you, and I and neither of us want to see a nuclear war.
