America contained only backwards and uncivilized nations since the dawn of man, but in the peninsula known as Yucatan, America was greeted by a civilization never seen before.

Every update there will be a choice where you, the Mayan Senate (MS), will choose on what we should do next. I will give you choices, and give you time to vote.
No names will be needed to be given, so no need to 'apply'.
It was a calm day in the Yucatan. The sun was shining, and nature fluttered with life. The people that lived there, however, wanted more. They decided to band together and found a city where all could come and live. They called the city Yax Mutal, and sent another group of people to the southwest to found another city.
The people in Yax Mutal also sent a division of warriors to protect these settlers, and kept two divisions for themselves. In Yax Mutal, the immortal leader, Pacal II, decided he wanted to know more about the land around him. He started training scouts in the city to be sent around the land and report back to him.
Spoiler:
The settlers had founded a city called Uxmal, and were sent to build a pagan temple to worship their gods. This city, however, caused Pacal to start losing money because of the upgraded maintenance. Pacal had plenty of gold to spare however, so he kept running his kingdom as is.
Three divisions of workers had also signed up to work. Pacal told these workers to build roads and a farm between Uxmal and Yax Mutal, and after that, build a mine so they can harvest the silver to the southwest of Yax Mutal. Pacal II hoped this silver would help the economy, but he would have to wait and see.
Spoiler:
During a time of worship in Uxmal, a high priest told tales of a distant civilization, Phoenicia, and of a great trader being born in a distant land. He also said that Phoenicia had fallen and been destroyed. Pacal would have none of this, however, as he had no proof that either of these had happened.
In Yax Mutal, they had also finished training a division of scouts, so Pacal II ordered them to explore the south to see what kinds of lands were open to them down there. He saw lots of jungles, and a few large groupings of fish. Pacal thought these fish could be used to feed some people, so he considered settling a city down there, but thought founding a city in the jungle would be against his better judgement.
Spoiler:
During the scouts' great exploration of the land to the south, they stumbled upon a group of people near a large collection of gold. These people near the gold mines would harvest local bugs, flowers, and other plants to make great works of art. These paintings, as they were called, allowed people to express their emotions such as happiness, fear, and anger.
The scouts wished to be taught this by the people, and so they were taught. The scouts then would return home to Yax Mutal to teach the people there of art. This allowed the Mayans to entire a new time period they liked to call the "Classical" Era.
Also, in Uxmal, the mayor had noticed that there was great production in the city, and with the new knowledge of Aesthetics, he decided he would build a large temple to one of their gods, to bring local people who had not yet settled in any city to Uxmal and Yax Mutal. This project would take some time to finish, but Pacal and the mayor hoped it would be finished in time.
Spoiler:
After a little while, Mayan researchers and blacksmiths figured out how to work a strong brown metal called copper. This copper could be used to make better weapons and armor, and also to cut down trees to use for homes. Use of copper also made the Mayan wonder if they could use another gray metal that they had seen from time to time.
Pacal thought that if they acquired some copper that they had recently finished learning, that he could train better warriors. Warriors that could sever limbs, or could protect cities by attacking from a small distance, but still close to the enemies.
One more thing struck Pacal II's interest: what if he could cut down the jungles to the south? He could not do it now, as the trees were too strong with copper, but he wondered if eventually he could cut the jungles to the south, and found a city there to harvest the local fish.
Mayan Senate Decision!
Spoiler:
We've advanced quite a lot in our first bout of history, but we need some direction on what to do next
1) Move scout out of the Andes (what the local tribes call them) Mountains, and move them north to explore the land that is north of them, in hopes of finding more helpful tribes
2) Cancel production in Yax Mutal, and build a shrine there that could they could use a person to communicate to the gods. Legend has it, that once it is build, the gods will share with them a technology not yet researched
3) Cancel production in Uxmal of the giant statue, and train some more workers, another scout, and a settler, and maybe send a division of warriors from Yax Mutal to settle to the north in the land called "Mexico" by the locals
