The reign of Communism in Equestria had brought with hope of change. A cupcake in every pot and a Discord lamp in every garage. These were the promises made to the ponies of Equestria. Promises that had yet to be fulfilled. The Equestrian economy continues to fall and vital resources become ever scarcer as the war drags on.
The communist regime took any morale they could get. In Thunder Bay a Canadian had proved to quite popular among the ponies there. Equestria saw to it that the fledgling artist was given a tour across the nation.
Meanwhile classified government documents concerning a re invasion of Australia were leaked. Several suspected ponies were sent to the Frozen North Crystal Gulags.
Portugal had decided that enough was enough. Portugal had had it with these monkey fighting Communists on this monday to friday America. Portugal was about to open some windows.
Portugal also dragged Mexico into the war. Because everyone knows Santa Anna is too smart to declare war against Equestria.
Spain wanted Equestria to stop being tolerant of other ponies beliefs. Discord decided to start by not tolerating Spain's idea.
On the NorthWestern Front Equestrian forces were making their last push into independent Canada. Ending the the war in Canada.

Operation Endless Sandwich
In Australia the Communist government had landed a renewed invasion force to take control over the continent. Unfortunately they were not given access to the Kombis they were promised. Some assumed that at best the Kombi would be fried-out.
Equestrian howitzers continued the bombardment of Darwin. The citizens ran they took cover.
The Red Guard started its charge against the city. After taking minor casualties they found that the city was a place where the houses glowed and the ponies plunder.

The Incan decided to trade their knowledge of pig iron to Equestria in exchange for Amareican Talk Radio.
Discord immediately gave a speech laying out his plan to construct a soap railroad from sea to sea in the nest 5 years.
In Louisiana Equestrian troops were pummeling the city of New Orleans into submission.
The Celestiaburg's 64th flight had shown that the British still had a sizable defensive force of marines who were 6 foot 4 and full of muscles in Sydney.
The threat of invasion of French Canada was apparent when a British transport was sighted off the coast. Discord called for 5 regiments to defend the region.
With the fall of New Orleans Equestrian forces began the long march towards Mexico City.
Babylon decided that discord simply wasn't as cool as Princess Celestia and thus cancelled their alliance.
Equestrian forces began establishing themselves in Mexico. Bombarding random cities and taking names.
Equestria had found that the Mexican had rebuilt Bad City, destroyed in the First Mexican-Equestrian War. Mexico had built a memorial that rallied civilians to make an army twice as large as Mexico's standing army when the city was inevitably destroyed again.
After years of the ponies struggle Equestria had discovered the secrets of Mass Media. In the subsequent years such classics as Doctor Zhoofago, and How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Discord were produced.
Equestrian forces had come to a stand still outside of that one Mexican City. Santa Anna's strategy of tricking the Equestrians into burning down Bad City so he could more soldiers had worked. And Santa Anna was now shoring up his defenses.

The end of the war was near. Ponies throughout Equestria couldn't see the end in sight with the loss of so many armies. However, their deaths were a necessary loss. Soon Equestria would have a new army, one far younger and more powerful.
Equestria was so bold and so foolish to continue its invasion of Mexico. For Santa Anna had placed numerous beacons, allowing for multiple, simultaneous and devastating defensive militia strikes. The codex names this maneuver Peasant Rain.
Despite these defenses the enemy was at Mexico's door. Equestria left none alive.
Persia made a completly fair trade with Equestria. Something concerning oil and radio repair.
After a few decades of not doing anything Wilbuck Otto was called upon to build the United Nations in 10 seconds flat.
With the construction of the most orderly of institutions the first election was secretary general was held.
Despite having built the UN, Discord lost the election for secretary general to Stalin. Stalin cited having more experience.
The Bay of mmmmmm Bananas invasion had begun in Southern Mexico. The invasion had caused Antonio de Padua María Severino López de Santa Anna y Pérez de Lebrón to be captured for the 20th time causing the whole Mexican Republic to collapse. Santa Anna was later able to escape capture and was assumed to have gone into exile somewhere. Wherever he went, and whatever happens to him on the way, in that enchanted place in Mexico, an awesome dictator will always be waiting.
Equestria's troops pushed further northward to find that despite Santa Anna had been toppled that Mexicans were going to continue to fight for their honor as blood eagles. For they were the President's fury.

Having secured Equestria's far eastern war goals Discord contacted Churchill. Churchill was a huge snob though. Boasting about how only the cool leaders have military armaments named after them.
Meanwhile Mexico's ground forces were ensuring the full defense of their headquarters. Which eventually fell to a determined Equestrian assault.
Following this victory Equestria decided to burn down Coycoa for a 3rd time. As well as route the remainder of the Mexican resistance.
South of Papua New Guinea an English Destroyer sunk an Equestrian Passenger Ship. Loose lips were blamed.
Stalin decided to make the world use only Windmills, openly banning the use of any and all watermills.
With the end of the war in Mexico Equestrian troops were rerouted to the Eastern Seaboard in preparation for the closing of the war.
Churchill had finally come to his senses and agreed to peace with the pony nation.
Following the peace with the UK a highly classified listing of general military power of several of the world's leading nations was published. The publisher was never seen again.
After years of being allies Equestria was able to easily install a puppet state in the Incan lands.
With the signing of the triple Diplomacy Screen Peace Treaty Equestria had officially put an end to the Great War, or at least its involvement. After decades of war, Peace in Equestria had been declared. P.E. day would forever be remembered by all who fought in the long and grueling war which brought Equestria practically to ruin.
