Soldiers of the Hellenistic Seleucid Empire (312 - 63 BC) which ruled over much of the Middle East. The pack is split into two parts early and late. The early covers the Wars of the Diadochi under Seleucus I (306 – 281 BC). The second covers the Seleucid conflicts with Rome under the reign of Antiochus III (222 – 187 BC) and beyond.

Awesome collection of units!!!

I'm currently half-way through my fifth book on the Selucids, so these arrive at the perfect time. :goodjob:

The heavy cavalry looks especially cool. Looking forward to seeing them in action.

cimbri what was the relation with the turks at this time? 3rd -2snd - 1st centuries before Christ
Unknown, but probably non-existent for the Seleucids.

It is also unlikely that even the easternmost provinces of the kingdom under Antiochus III could have had contact with the expanding Xiongnu (a possibly a Turkic people). Most likely any trade so far east would have gone through Bactrian or Scythian intermediaries.

As for Turkic ethnic or linguistic relations, it is pretty much speculation up until the rise of the 6th century Göktürks.

thanks. i have speculated an alliance against he scythians from the time of alexander, since he was searching for possible allies to hammer the scythians against...but it would be to far fetched!

Thanks, everyone.

very very very good. ;)
ps slowly moving towards the steppes beyond? - hephtalites, huns, turks?

I have Huns and Hepthalites almost ready to release. I've no immediate plans for turks, but I may do some Seljuks at some point.

Everytime I need a little motivation to work on my Indo-Greek scenario, I find a new, relevant, unit pack by Balam-Agab.

And of course, the units are not only absolutely amazing, but they fill problematic gaps in the unit lines more than I could ever have hoped! :D :goodjob:

Glad to hear it. I'm looking forward to the scenario. If there are any more gaps to be filled feel free to ask.

how about bactrians!? does anyone know how they looked like? what kind of warfare, i am now in a harsh reconstruction study and i am too tired to read ammianus marcellinus or others...please help, if you can! i mean also some foes of the greeks for a more accurate description! and i do not mean the upper part of society, which may have peen persianized but the local society model, or in this particulary case the type of soldier!? :hmm:

Balam-Agab, would you consider making some other War Elaphants, like a Ptolemaic one ? That would be a very nice compliment to Sandris' units. Maybe also some other Greek/Macedonians like the Antigonids, or their Thracians neighbours...
