C3C PBEM : Sengoku - scenario-based PBEM

We are ready to start.

Hi, this is the thread for the new PBEM game I plan on starting.


It is for Conquests, using the MP version of the Sengoku scenario (smaller map for 8 civs) and the patch 1.22.
So you need to have both Conquests and the patch 1.22 installed on your computer.

Civs will be attributed randomly (remember no trait or UU so it will be mostly a geographical randomness).

Organization : the game will be called Sengoku to be recognizable.
When you get the game, send a mail to inform the sender you got it, play it ASAP and send it ASAP so that the game moves fast between the 8 players.

No special rules for entry except that :
1/ you must understand this is a very-long term project that needs commitment (you get the game, you play it and send it ASAP) so if you are not sure 200% you will keep playing it, better not to sign in (thus you show your respect to the other players).
2/ understand the way you play is not automatically the way others play (so accept these differences) and that this is a game that should not lead to actual troubles, rivalries between players.
3/ You don't use any cheats. I don't know where they are but I have heard there are some. Use them in single gaming if you like but here it would definitely spoil the fun.

Beside that, only rule is to have fun ... and to win if possible.

Have you played PBEM before ?
Do you mind if we drop the "-" around your nickname for ease of expression ?

No, i have not played a PBEM before. But i am committed to getting a game finished and i understand the concept.

I assume the next turn is sent to me by the player before, along with some sort of battle log so i don't find random units missing. I e-mail a got it to the person who sent it. I then play my turn until the red oval flashes, save my game, then send it to the next in line, with my log. That right?

The dashes don't have to be used, im perfectly happy without them

I'd like to join.

This one we can certainly play on Accelerated Production (?)

AI can be an interesting factor if set to a decent level of Monarch and above (Emperor?).

This is my favorite Conquest and it is really a very interesting game with lots of possibilities! Must be very exciting!

@ Akots : that is not a pb. AP is on by default. Even if the map is smaller than the standard epic, it is still has large lands.
The only thing I might change is Yamabushi (because I believe there is a bug there).

@ Oblivion : yep, seems you got the concept perfectly.
Can you send me your e-mail by MP (to avoid bots hunting e-mails here). This needs to be the address you will use for getting/sending the SAVE and for diplomatic talks.

I'd like to play, sent you a PM but this seems the quickest route to register my interest. I've checked all the prerequisites that you listed: patch 1.22, commitment and I have them all.

It's all human players. If you don't mind getting beat up (like me, I don't mind) then this is for you, however, it is only fair to warn you that some of the players are very good (including the thread starter, LouLong).

Note : I did one modif in the scenario. Yamabushis still have All Terrain as Road but their movement has been lowered to one. The Yamabushi before was so overpowered it looked like a bug.

@ Sega Fanatic : don't listen to Rcoutme. I don't consider myself a top player at all (usually Monarch or Emperor). I just won a WWII Pacific PBEM but because the VP level to reach was low and because I did not have to face a combined force to face.

i got turn one, then sent it to portuga, then he replied, saying that he got it
