Here are some fantasy cities of Atlantis. I made them originally just for myself, but I thought I'd share them anyway. They are single era cities. Enjoy!
if you do, i have a request then; that if you could leave the "central" temple, with the alter in front, and in the larger cities, th elittle "oracle" on the hill, on through all the ages; I htink that woudl give a very cool "anceint" look through all the ages of atlantis
Wow... Sword of Geddon, you must have read my mind or something!
Futuristic it is! I'm going to try and give that era and others very tall buildings, yet still give it the feel of ancient or imperial cities - for some reason, I always thought of Atlantis as looking like Constantinople / byzantine like.
makle the middle age cities have the 'rusted copper green" look on thier domes; shoudl be an interestign effect
as for archtecture; same here; a byzantine sort fo architecture, but made out of grey and white stones instead of the warmer colours used in more classic romanesq architecture, with copper-green domes, and with plenty of tall, green vines gorwing oin the sides, and all sort sof toher types classical, and Byzxantien architecture, and greenery
Atlantis was on a circuler island, and hade severla rings of earth and water around it, all with building and such on it; bu totherwise, no real description of how th ecity looks is given, or even implied; and since the closest thing to a one tile circuler island is a one tile squar, i dont think the shape pf the city matters much
Roof really have sort of Atlantis feeling. Must be because if it existed it's now under sea and roofs will look blue for sure. Good thinking and fine graphics!
A one square tile represents an indefinite piece of land... so I don't think it'd be unreasonable to have a city graphic with the concentric rings of land and water featured in the Atlantis myth... but on the other hand, as with the old Civ2 Atlantis scenario, you could just place the city in a center of several rings of land/coast.
