Allies win / Japan forfeits

Hi, this is the thread for the new WWII Pacific conquest PBEM aimed at newbies.

One experienced player would be a nice addition to help around but no more as experienced ones should prepare for Eric_A's ToS PBEM.

Nimitz was an American admiral

It is for Conquests, using the MP version of the WWII Pacific scenario and the patch 1.22.
So you need to have both Conquests and the patch 1.22 installed on your computer.

5 civs :

Japan : Yamamoto
USA : lietkynes
Commonwealth : Gishmibop
China : Rcoutme
Dutch : Gnarfflinger

Players : 5

1. lietkynes
2. Gishmibop
3. Yamamoto
4. Rcoutme
5. Gnarfflinger

You want to be in ? You have further questions ? Post in this thread or send me a PM. If ready to join, send me a PM with your e-mail.
You can also check the sticky thread "newbee guide" where you can find tons of informations on how PBEM works, what you can do and what you should not do, etc... but if it is not clear enough, you can ask here and we will answer you (we are a community of friendly and helpful people).
When the rooster is full, I will send to all of you a planning e-mail with play order, e-mails, etc...

Organization : the game will be called Nimitz to be recognizable and when you get the game, send a mail to inform the sender you got it (GPS = Got it, Played it, Sent it).

Special rules : no city razing or abndonning !

@ LouLong- Thanks for the offer to play :D , but at the moment I lurk here
from my work computer :mischief: and don't have the game loaded on it right
now  . I also have never patched to 1.22. Soon I am going to set
things up to either play PBEM from home or load at work and play in the evenings,
so please keep me in mind. I love the scenarios, especially the ROR and
the WWII ones. . Thanks again for the offer.

No way I am gonna give you Japan against newbees, especially after seeing hwo you are kicking the hell out of the Apolyton team lol
Anyway Yamamoto had asked for Japan before (wonder why ? :p).
But you could take China or Netherlands (still free).

I'm stronger on the ground, but have Rcoutme on my MSN list for advise in the Naval and bombing thing...

I suppose I should give this one a try...

I have taken Netherlands in the TOS campaign so would prefer China please. Also...given your [delete] :joke: and [deleted] give-away of the first two-turn attack phase for the Japanese...I think raising the bar to 50,000 VP might be in order :crazyeye:

Due to LouLong's being French I suspect that he did not realize that my comments were in jest. I have revised my writing as relooking at it shows it to be insensitive. I formally appologise to a friend and collegue and hope that any embarrassment or sadness will not be held long. Sincerely Robert Coutinho.

 :D

SEE GUYS This is what you get for offering to be one of LouLong's 'Godlike' players. I never played the Japanese before in this scenario until that time and I'm only on Feb, 1942! Not only that, I have only played the Americans (the TOS campaign is somewhat different in that killing units and capturing cities takes a back seat to holding white obelisks...also there are not as many cities).

Game full.

Yamamoto will actually start the game.
I will send him a mail ASAP with the process and the file.
And I will send the global planning-phase e-mail.

If the shoe fits, wear it! ;) You ARE an excellent player :goodjob: . Although
your 1st 2 turns were great, different moves and strategies will also work,
some may even turn out better for Japan :crazyeye: . I think you are right
about raising the VP totals too, it would make for more interest and possible
outcomes. :scan:

Hiya all!
Hey guys I received the file at couple of hours ago, but i am experienced some crashs in pc due to another application I started so I need to fix some things here first. So I think I can only start the game tomorrow night (friday night in my time zone - gps) , because i go to sleep now, and after work (argh...).
I ask your comprhension. Thx.
Yama.

Hi all,

Just wanted to apologies as luck would have it, I won't be available this weekend (and usually most weekends) just as the game starts. I'm connected almost always on weekdays though so maybe we can compensate during then.

See you all Monday and cheers for a good game.

the newb,
Gishmibop.

To the newbies: Usually game turns will take 4 to 5 days (for typical games). Some of these go faster due to diligent players, but that is the exception. Don't worry too much if you are out for 2 days due to weekend commitments, we will all understand... just so long as you are good about getting the game and playing it once you can.

Maybe it could be useful to know the time zones of the players.

I am from Italy (GMT+1) and usually have time to play in the evening (from 6pm)

And now Yamamoto, you will feel the excruciating pain of having to wait while 4 (!!!) people take a bite at you while you're helpless !

What a mess :-)

USA bombers have sinked a jap submarine near honolulu.

A destroyer near Davao and one near Puerto Princess were sinked by our subs.

Sadly we lost 2 submarines in the fight.

1 sub and 1 destroyer lingering on the borders of Signapore has been sunk to no loses to the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth airforce and navy gleefully taunting the army on how the job should be done.

A Combat Engineer next to Rangoon was dispatched by an ANZAC after managing to singe the ANZAC for a point before his implosion.

The rusted Commonwealth machine has started it's slown grind, that's hope it reaches full gear before the Japs can deal further damage.
