ok you guys convinced me, I need to repoll the Iroquois doctrine with only TWO options.
One would be a full conquest of Niagara and Oil Springs, and the other one would be to redeliver Salamanca back, and stabilize borders. I know that the Iroquois offered us Tonawonda in a peace treaty, and that is an option I would like to see.

I voted for the FP to be built in Yatta, PLUS I voted to hurry the FP with the GL. :thumbsup:
 
If we rush a temple and courthouse in Yatta, I think it might be able to produce more than one shield per turn in about 13 turns. And maybe it could produce 3 shields per turn in 23 turns. So I think the FP could be built there in less than 80 turns. So if you're voting for Yatta, you'd better vote to rush the forbidden palace with the great leader. If you vote for building an army or rushing Magellan's Voyage, you should not vote for Yatta unless you want to be more than halfway to the modern age before finishing it.

It cannot be rushed, it is like a wonder, and the same people that voted Veii, some of them voted for Cavalry Army, no consistency of thought.
 
I'll change my vote from Roma to Doomsville, since I'm alone in supporting Roma. Maybe the faster completion in Doomsville will have a greater effect than I realize.
 
We are now up to 8 votes for Doomsville, one more vote and it is a tie with Veii/Yatta.
 
Ugh. This entire FP debacle has left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll say Doomsville, just because Odawara is already building a new Wonder (Newton is 4 turns away). Doomsville also makes more sense than Yatta, I'm not sure why we didn't notice that before. Regardless of where we finally build it, I just hope this really is the final poll, so we can get it behind us and move on.
 
AShburnham :) Maybe someone wants to repoll it, it may be that the war objectives in the Iroquois zone may be repolled, so the FP may be repolled as well :) Now that we are even on the poll Veii-Doomsville, 9-9 , I suggest a repoll
if noone breaks the tie with the last vote LOL LOL LOL :)
 
How do you see a 9-9 tie? BTW, I change my vote from other to Yatta. :D
 
Well, since "Other" is Write in, I can technically transfer one vote from Yatta to Doomsville, since the Great Leader is not going there, I have no other choice.
 
Actually, this poll is flawed, since you cannot have "Other" as option with your own write in, then you discriminate the voters that has to write the others, since these become public, where Veii and Odawara does not. In fact, this major weakness of the poll makes it semi-public and semi-private, which makes this poll a hybrid, and in the grey area of the Constitution on how to handle polls. I will question the valididy of this poll and ask for a judicial review on the nature of this poll. I suggest a repoll of this obviously flawed poll. This time excluding Odawara, which has broad support for the Newtons College.

I mean business, this poll is invalid, and must be repolled or at least brought into a judicial review before it can be implemented as a legally binding poll for a build. My MSAV poll is not even legally binding, as we have no laws on troop movements in war. I made the doctrinal setups to be nice and democratic, but they are still not legally binding :)
 
Is there any point in voting in this one? After voting in the article K poll I'm leery...

I can't wait to see how the FP didn't get built in Odawara...

Well, so much for getting polls posted that will actually close before the game play session. It just gets more laughable with every post I read.
