Portuga won as Rome (VP scoring).

"Barca" is the family name of Hannibal. This powerful family fought Rome and for the power in Carthage for most of the Punic Wars.

I have been asked if I could set up a new Rise of Rome scenario, so here it is !

Players already playing in at least one other PBEM if possible.

It is a balanced and fast PBEM (only 4 human players).

It is for Conquests, using the MP version of the Rise of Rome scenario and the patch 1.22.
So you need to have both Conquests and the patch 1.22 installed on your computer.

Civs will be attributed randomly normally but you can state your prefered civ and if they don't contredict you will probably get it.

Carthage - Greybeard
Celts - AI
Egypt - AI
Goths - AI
Macedonia - Yakodi
Persia - Misfit Travel
Rome - Portuga
Scythes - AI

Players : 8 (Celts, Goths, Scythes and Egypt will be played by AI)

1. Misfit Travel (Persia ?)
2. Portuga (Rome ?)
3. Greybeard (Carthage ?)
4. Yakodi
5. AI
6. AI
7. AI
8. AI

You want to be in ? You have further questions ? Post in this thread or send me a PM. If ready to join, send me a PM with your e-mail.

When the rooster is full, I will send to all of you a planning e-mail with play order, e-mails, etc...

Organization : the game will be called "Barca" to be recognizable and when you get the game, send a mail to inform the sender you got it (GPS = Got it, Played it, Sent it).

I can't resist... I'm in too many games, but it's so hard to say no to a Rise of Rome conquest...

I would like to play Rome, because I'm in other three Rise of Rome conquests and Rome is the only civ, I never played. But I don't mind playing any other civ.

I like this scenario. I'm also in two other Rise of Rome games. I would like to play Cathage in this one as I haven't plyed them yet. I believe you already have my email address.

Sent to Greybeard.

Anybody know why Locked Alliance is set on? Macedon and Persia can't even communicate. In a AI game I can understand that, but in multiplayer does that make sense?

In other pbem games I've seen Persia and Macedon call a 'truce' by posting
the offers to each other in the threads ;) . You might try this.

Indeed dgfred is right. In CeD for instance RJ has signed a truce with me (gosh I needed it).

IMHO the reason why it is on is to make it balance. If Macedonia and Persia were not at war with one another (and the same for Rome and Carthage) the result might be Rome and Macedonia at each other's throat while Carthage and Persia could expand freely. With locked war there is no way any country can just relax out of the war and expand (albeit it is possible if you sign a truce, but these are ... well... truces and not peace so they limit that freedom to develop quietly).

345BC to Rome

Two Roman legions have landed on the Carthaginian island of Corsica.

Turn 3 started.

We captured MAssilia(ex: celts) and Aleria(ex cartago)
We defeated two speaman in each city, and our legionares were slightly scratched.

Back to Portuga. :)

No pictures this time, but I'm sure there will be more. Especially with Rome starting this scenario so aggressively :D
