World War I... in 2051 A.D.!?!?

What happened to Colonel Vanderhof?

Just saying what others have said, but you should repay England at the end of the war for their assistance, little it may be, by giving them back some of their cities.
Why would he do something like that? He should repay the English for their help by allowing them to live under the glorious rule of Babylon!

jiker and lostcause: Welcome :salute:

He may be locked up for the duration of the war. We'll see what happens to the good colonel. :hmm:

BABYLONIAN PEOPLE’S SHIP (BPS) AMSTERDAM (CVN-3), MISSION: LONG RANGE STRATEGIC BOMBING, INTERNATIONAL WATERS, APPROXIMATELY 200 NAUTICAL MILES OFF THE COAST OF BRIGHTON, MAYAN REPUBLIC. 1000 LOCAL TIME, DECEMBER 8th, 2055
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Communications Watch Officer tore the paper off the teletype, and placed it on his clipboard. He began the short walk through the maze-like passageways of the gigantic nuclear aircraft carrier. Ships like the AMSTERDAM were living proof of why Babylon dominated the seas.

He knocked three times softly on the door to the admiral’s stateroom and office, and slowly opened the door. “Priority message from the C4 for you, comrade admiral”, he said. The admiral took the clipboard, and began reading. He lifted his eyebrows, in slight surprise. “Thank you comrade Lieutenant”

As the watch officer left, the admiral picked up the phone directly to the bridge. “Have the captain report to my stateroom.”

TEN MINUTES LATER…

The Catapult Officer kept his fist in the hold position while he talked in to his headset. Commander Dave Wilson was getting agitated. “C’mon, c’mon. Let’s go”, he muttered. Suddenly the silence of the cockpit was interrupted by taking in his headset.

“Stealth 301, stand down, prepare to disengage from the catapult.”

“What the…”, he said out loud. “Standing down. Ready to disengage from catapult”, he replied testily.

“Stealth 301, new orders have arrived. Flight operations are being cancelled while new targets are loaded in to the system. Park your plane in the hangar, and please report to the wing commander’s office for a briefing.”

“Stealth 301 acknowledged.” Dave was hot under the collar. You don’t just stop operations. "This had better be good”, he muttered to himself, as the great ship AMSTERDAM, and her escort, the heavy battleship MERRIMACK, began a gentle turn toward the southwest, and gathered speed.

“And the People’s Navy got a great New Year’s present today in the Naval Shipyard in Eridu, with the commissioning of the BPS CARCHEMISH (CG-3), an Aegis class cruiser….”

That's got to be one of the shortest updates I've ever seen. ;)
Not that I mind. Actually, I've never seen an Aegis Cruiser in the game before...usually don't play this far into the Modern Age. :(

Hey,

Could the new orders for the BPS AMSTERDAM (CVN-3) be the shadow of Mayan stormtroopers giving OPERATION AUDACIOUS MOVE a hardtime? Or maybe the Incans?

Now the English question. I believe you leave them alone for now. The push on Mayan resourses is a must. Now later they may try to war against you. Then you hit them with a fish and watch them fall into a canel.

Question Time.

1. Did the file make it?

2. Did the loss of BSS Eulbar (SSN-6) push for the building of the BPS CARCHEMISH (CG-3).

PILOT’S LOUNGE, BPS AMSTERDAM (CVN-3). 2305 LOCAL TIME, JANUARY 10th, 2056
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Shhh. Here it is guys”, Commander David Wilson said excitedly to the pilots in the room. The pilot’s lounge was full of stealth bomber pilots waiting to watch the Mayan news. There was an intelligence officer in the lounge who was serving as translator, while the pilots watched the intercepted news source.

“We have a special report, live from Tikal”, said the announcer on the Mayan News Channel (MNC).

Communist aerial forces from Babylon continued their bombing campaign against our valiant military forces entrenched in Tikal.”

A cheer went out in the pilots lounge.

“The status of our forces is, of course, classified, but military commanders in Tikal assure us the city is safe against the impending approach of the Babylonian tank army. “

There were some muffled laughs heard in the room.

“In an errant bombing attack from one of the waves of stealth aircraft, the coliseum of Tikal, a long standing monument to the citizens, was destroyed, along with an estimated three hundred civilian casualties.”

“That was my target… the coliseum… you idiots”, exclaimed one of the pilots in the room to the interpreter, mistakenly directing his anger. There was some jeering and quick joke-making at the expense of the pilot.

“Tikal is currently being threatened by an army of Babylonian tanks, as well as other support units, in an obvious attempt to disrupt the Mayan industrial base. Governmental officials keep assuring the populace that reinforcements are on the way….”

Admiral Armada Welcome aboard, thanks for reading and commenting :salute:

1. I apologize, but I don't understand the question.

If you are referring to a save game, I have decided NOT to post one until the story line is through.

If you are talking about a new world map - it may be a little bit :cringe:

If you are talking about Colonel Vanderhof bringing a file with him to jail - well - you'll have to wait and see ;)

2. The commissioning of the BPS CARCHEMISH is directly correlated to the presence of the Mayan nuclear submarine threat. I intend for the seas to be completely, absolutely, and clearly - dominated by Babylon. :hammer: I can't afford to have any transports, or carriers, sunk by an errant Mayan sub.

As always, thanks for asking, thanks for reading. Keep the questions coming :D

What about the situation up north in England, and on the warpath in the Incan Empire?

4th RADAR ARTILLERY DIVISION, IN SUPPORT OF THE 8TH BABYLONIAN MODERN ARMY, VICINITY OF HUAMANGA, INCAN REPUBLIC. 2000 LOCAL TIME, JANUARY 18th, 2056
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

radararty3.jpg

The noise of the missile salvo’s firing was deafening. The lights were brilliant. The distinctive smell of combat was in the air. “I love the smell of cordite in the evening”, one of the artillery loaders observed.

There were four radar artillery divisions that were unloading a barrage of pure hell on the enemy positions within Huamanga. The Inca wanted war… they got war. The beauty of radar artillery is that it had range. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Radar Artillery divisions were stationed over one hundred miles away from Huamanaga, and were protected by a Modern Armor division. The artillery was firing OVER the 8th Modern Army, and laying waste to the military units in the city. Just four artillery divisions had beaten the 3 defending Incan TOW, and Regular, infantry divisions down to one quarter effectiveness.

The only spectre hanging over the heads of the 8th Modern Army, was the unfortunate loss of a support modern armor division that had been ambushed by a defending Incan TOW infantry division. The tankers had almost beaten the TOW’s, but they had home field advantage. The 8th Modern Army was planning to exact their revenge.

Huamanga was a nice city, with great beaches. It would be a good addition to the Babylonian Socialist Republic.

lurker's comment: Message to secret operatives in Tiwanaku. Get out ASAP! The situation is hopeless. Activate "Operation Desperate Move" and take the secret fishing trawler out of Atico for further subversion. NOW!

16th MODERN ARMOR DIVISION, 8TH BABYLONIAN MODERN ARMY, OPERATION ANTI-INTI, ENTERING THE FORMER INCAN CITY OF HUAMANGA, CURRENTLY OCCUPIED BY THE ARMED FORCES OF THE BABYLONIAN SOCIALIST REPUBLIC. 2100 LOCAL TIME, JANUARY 30th, 2056
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

huamanga.jpg

VICTORY! It had taken about a month to dynamite the barricaded defensive infantry units out of the city. It had been seven months since he crashed the gates on the border. Now, he was crashing the gates of Huamanga. Geez, the damned Inca didn’t even know they were already beaten.

The city was in flames. And, as promised, the 8th Modern Army had avenged the loss of the modern armor division.

Colonel Marc Vanchance really hoped Huamanga was a nice place to stay. He knew that as soon as these fires could be put out, and order restored, his division would be spending the remainder of the year… at least… in this formerly hostile city.

Sitting around…

Babysitting…

Doing nothing but police action…

“Every tankers dream”, he said to himself sarcastically.

Ah well. He would enjoy the battle while he could. Mopping up was tedious work, but at least you got to be a tanker and blow up things. “Yee haw”, he shouted in to his headset. “Welcome to Huamanga boys! The first stop, of many, on our tour of the Land of the Sun People."

lurker's comment: Jan. 30th, 2056...a day of infamy. :(

Anti-Babylonian! Destroy the Inca-supporting imperialist!

Excellent, a single Army is annihilating part of the Incan Republic (I think it's a republic). Isn't there two parts to the country, though? The front must be stable there...

The Babylonian Armed Forces are not only impressive but well balanced too!

Coinich,
As you are leading your mighty nation, do you stylize yourself after any particular historical figure (Like Stalin for Communism?) or do you tailor your own persona?

Just Curious.
