Nice ship alignment near Pearl. I can't say I've ever seen the carriers that close.

More of the Rising Sun tsunami roaring across IndoChina and Indonesia.

Cities taken include Sangkoelirang, Boela, Ketapang (lost a para), Dongala, Menado (lost a Marine), Sarmi, Menado, Aparri (lost an Inf), Hankow, Foochow (got my army down to 1 hp), Nanning, and Tarawa. The attack on Rabual failed, but my infantry retreated.

Subs sunk W of Phillipines (US), NW & S of Ketapang (Dutch), NE of Rabaul (CW) - lost my sub against yours.

DD sunk S of Palau (US)

Prince of Wales went down with all hands in a spectacular air strike N of Batavia.

China Front:

Chinese tanks storm Japanese defenses at Nanning, Hankow and Kaifeng killing a combined 7 Jap infantry. 3 more Jap infantry die outside Foochow to another Chinese tank. (Let's just say that I used my fighters, bombers and artillery well to soften up the troops ahead of time).

The strike of the turn was supposed to be a tank killing the 3 paratroopers outside Medan. Unfortunately air strikes didn't weaken the paras enough and my tank died without taking anyone with it......

I must admit that Hawklord very effectively counterstruck in China. I lost virtually all my offensive combat units, but console myself with the stripping of his key production cities in mainland China. They'll be pretty much useless for anything but drafting at this point.

Not sure what the thought was with the Jap fleet. It is sitting between Midway and Pearl, where it was attacked by 10+ US bombers, 4 BBs and some escort DDs. Net result that 2 Jap ships were sunk (1 CV and 1 other unit which a bomber sunk but it didn't tell me what it was). All the other units in the stack are at 1 or 2 hps. I lost 2 bombers and 2 DDs.

The Japanese invasions of Guaducanal and Tarawa have been stopped cold. 1 Jap inf killed on Tarawa. Lost 1 Anzac. 2 Jap DDs sunk outside Guad. with a loss of 1 sub and 1 DD.

2 CAs and 1 Transport sunk off of Manokwari. No allied losses.

The Dutch armed resistance has basically collapsed. Palembang, Medan, Bandjermasin, Koepang and Okaba have fallen. Overwhelming air support obliterated the defenders, then the marines moved in. They have 2 cities left, but should be dead next turn.

1 sub sunk (by accident by one of my CAs) E of Banderjmasin.

3 Chinese infantry killed W of Hankow. 1 Jap inf lost. Japanese tanks storm and capture Chunking.

2 US subs sunk W of Portland. Portland (and surrounding area) bombarded. Barracks and Civil Defense destroyed.

The long reaching initial Japanese first strike has made a big difference to our ability to fight back.

The Imperial Japanese armed forces have destroyed all remaining Dutch resistance. Batavia, Banjoewangi, Wainpoe and Tenate have all fallen. No ground unit losses this turn.

In China, Chengdu, Taiyuan, Ningsia were taken. China is down to one city.

CA sunk S of Ketapang, but unfortunately it took a BB with it.

Another CA S of Java is going to escape after defeating a Zero and a CA. It got a well earned promotion.

Port Moresby was shellacked. Civil Defense, Barracks, 2 Fighters, 1 Bomber and 1 pop point lost. No Jap air unit losses. (We are very curious where your 2 CAs are planning on going.....)

Some light bombardment of CW units N of Rangoon and in Northern Australia.

Japanese Pearl Harbour sneak attack fleet located SE of Midway (W of Pearl). 1 BB, 2 CAs, 2 DDs, and 5 CVs sunk (12 bombers, plus fighters plus subs got the job done). Lost 1 bomber to AA.

BB sunk N of Sibu, scratched the paint on the DD S of Sibu.

Lost DD against a sub N of Guadacanal.

Killed 2 tanks, and 2 NI E of Taiyuan. Lost a tank.

Killed a CE, and 2 NI W of Hankow.

Manokwari bombed. DD sunk and marine damaged.

Kudat bombed, then attacked with tank. City liberated, Jap DD and Marine killed. Lost bomber to AA.

Boela bombed, marine redlined.

There are 5 fighters on CAP in the area, so your losses are a little high, but not too surprising....
