How do I save city queue?

The manual says that if you ctrl-# it will save your city building queue, but I can't seem to get that to work. If I do ctrl-1, for example, it will replace whatever is in my queue with worker/settler/worker/settler. Help?

I believe you have to be inside your city screen in order for that to work. I'm not positive about that though.

Oops sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying there.

Upon pressing # it replaces my build queue with different units, rather than the buildings I had put in the build queue of another city and pressed ctrl-# .

I am doing it in the city screen, but it doesn't seem to work.

Has anyone had success using a saved queue?
