There are a bunch of useful items available soon that all cost about 100:hammers:. Which should be the highest priority?

We will probably need to insert some cheaper items like warriors, so these aren't exact build orders.

How are we planning on getting the acadamy? I would think that a scientist is a tad off in the future, or am I missing something?

Edit: Okay, nevermind, I see from other thread, we will be forcing 2 scientists...

But why is that in the build plan? That is something that the Great Scientist generates if we decide to use him that way.

Before voting, please make sure that you read the

General Forum of the Domestic Policy as DaveMcW and I have thrown out a couple of numbers on how we can achieve these builds.

If you have questions about mine , his or any other logic please don't hesitate to ask.

Ultimately we are striving for the most succesfull speding of our next 300 hammers :goodjob:

Not That I'm Trying to influence anyone vote

But here is a rough breakdown of how the turns would go

(Build order being)

Library
Warrior (in 1 Turn  )
Settler
Oracle (timed with CoL to give Cs Slingshot)

The Huge advantage of this is everything with building and Research time together nicely. Secondly as seen by the screenshot Below we can already have our Road started to our second city, the only questions becomes (which would be up to our third term President) is where does the settler go on the hill or off the hill? (Personally I think on the hill for 2 reasons, 1 Bronze is in our radius right away, 2 we get an extra :hammers: every turn)

So crack open the Excel Spread sheet have a look,

But the voice of the Domestic Office says:
Vote Option #3

Library, Settler, Oracle(Civil Service)

Great work and analysis here!

I voted for option 3, and though this may not be the thread for this - I like the idea of building on the Hill. I find the hill defense bonus to be extra helpful in MP games. (psycological value)

Love the analysis and glad I asked my chopping question. I went with number 3, before I saw General W's post (Peter Grimes warned me about your shinagins).

Alright here are some mroe screenies of what can happen if we go with option 3

Library
Settler
Warrior ( 1 turn)
Oracle
Now obviously the buildign of Barraks in our secodn city is a mute point that can be whatever (Initially I though Obelisk but that is not neccesary if you look closely at where our Religion goes ;) )

In any event Copper is hooked up by 1320 B.C. Which is Pretty Good!

And having CoL and and a CS Slingshot by 1240 B.C. is also very impressive!

If we can manage what is in these pics below we will be in very good position.
As well now we see that forcing two scientist in Our Capital can be affored and in 9 turns we will have our specialist (mind you small % chance it is a Great Prophet, however that could be beneficial in spreading our religion and gaining sightlines into enemy territory :) )

Below is the save as Well if you are interest in opening it up!

Not To mention 4 Turn Axemen in Shanghai is pretty impressive for getting our Military up and Running (mind you it is on the copper tile at the moment)

Also notice how important that 50G from the hut is now ;)

Not to Clutter the thread or anything  , but this could be the future of our Capital By 550 B.C. if we go option 3

One Thing I forgot the sooner we get CS the Sooner Our rice is +5 :food: instead of +4 :food: (chaining irrigation :goodjob: )

Man I hate to give more thoughts on this but is the Oracle Viable for us? :(

I still need to run the simulations but it isn't looking pretty

For a Civ to Build the Oracle Before us the would need to Reasearch up to Including Priesthood.

Ok, no such bad news yet, however consider this the leader who discovered meditation did so on turn 10 3600 B.C. that puts King Kong 1 Tech away from Priesthood.

Want the rest of the bad news... he is Industrious as well.

The good news I can come up with. Since then he has increase his score only 2 times (+7 on turn 20, + 8 on turn 21) Which leads me to believe one increase was due to an increase in population.

Ok. so that means either a +7 or +8 was due to an discovered tech. Which makes sense because when you think of it we have only actually researched 2 techs (The Wheel and BW)

So was that one Other Tech Priesthood? If yes then starting next turn technically he could be building the Oracle.

Assuming Worst case scenario, I will assume they have and started the Oracle this turn. Result? (once I count up to the build cost of the Oracle, based on whichever civ has the most :hammers: per turn) I can predict the earliest date the Oracle could be built.

Now don't go panic yet because this is very worst case scenario.

Not to mention if they did gett preisthood second, then all they would be able to do is mine

Like I said I need to run the tests and fins out how much of a score increase priesthood gives you :)

In any event all of this is made possible due to our new reports by the our Foreign Minister :goodjob:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edit:

Assuming:

1. King Kong Just Discoved Priesthood
2. They Start the Oracle This turn
3. They infact are the Civ with +3 :hammers: per turn
4. They don't increase thier hammer output

The Earliest they Could be doen the Oracle is 1680B.C. which would be before our projected date.

Now lets look at alot of things here. If they are infact building the Oracle now they will be behind the 8 ball. Why? because they have not built a settler or a worker yet. (All cities pops have increased)

In the event that they are currently building a worker, then that gives us bonus turns to being but ultimately their + :hammers: will increase which is bad.

Now, If I was them I would be complacent. Why? Because 2 civs started with Mysticism, one Got Buddism, the Other got Hinduism.
Result?

King Kong thinks they are the closest to Priesthood so may have put it off for other worker techs. (and to build a settler first no doubt) If that is the case then we are ok, as long as thier worker tech was not for Masonry...

I told you guys General_W was the better man for the job... But Lost just wouldn't lay off ;)

And Thank You for the extensive analysis and iterations, Russia - I mean, Memphus :)
