Luna is a tropic planet. Nearly the complete land is covered with a rank jungle. Around the 27. southern latitude is the only other terrain: a smaller plain which is partly covered with forest. On the north- and southpole as also in the big mountainrange are the only tundra-areas.

this looks nothing like luna

well, i understand that it looks "unexpected", but it is luna. i used this topographical map of luna, which is attached right of the ingame map.
but just go to google and search for "luna topography" or go to this site: http://www.lepp.cornell.edu/~seb/celestia/gallery-004.html
there are different maps of luna, including the topographcal map i used and some "real" maps. there you can compare the topo-maps with the real maps.

Looks similar to me. Well done. The fact this offers a huge mediterranean of sorts makes it very interesting.
