Hi!

I've played around for a while and now my first reskined Leaderhead is complete:

MyFirstLH.JPG

I have planned him to be an Ethiopean Leader because of his high crown and his gold plates, but feel free to use him as you want.
*please note that he uses the animations of Julius*

Download and have fun!

Thats quite a nice reskin the facial hair is quite belivable (ofcorse I may change my tune once I see him moving), You should submit it for CivGold 3.0, I dont think they have an Ethiopian Civ yet.

Alos I ame wondering why the Julius animation is so popular for re-skins, is it in some way more easily applied to other heads then visa-versa or is it just a style choice?

Wow, that looks great. What about a second leader for the Israelis - Solomon?

Great job! I'm totally stealing this for a future CIV Gold release! :D

We already have a Menelik that I think is pretty cool, but Ethiopian/Abyssinian still works. I was wondering about Haile Selassie as the 2nd Abyssinian leader?

That would be a good choice, he is well-known and made import decisions for his country.

What program did you use to make this??

My dds.converter is DXT Bmp. For fine things like changing colors of a texture, adding a textures, changing contrast and so on I use Picture It! (it was pre-installed on my pc).
But Picture It! have some problems with the alpha chanel :hmm: so I edit the alpha chanel with paint. I also used paint to create the facial hair. :old:

I'm impressed. He looks quite Ethiopian -- the combination of Semitic, Arabic, and African features!
