Helly! My long-gone ally from Neo NES 1! Remember how we ruled the world? I do!

*shreds into nostalgic tears*

I may do after the next update. Iam curious as to whether the area of green between the ottomans and the english in the middle east is hungarian land? looks the same colour..

ahh yes of course. I didnt notice them, still very close colour schemes :). Interesting anyway, this nes needs a bit more instability if you ask me ;)

Pending update, I'd like to take Griechenland.

Yes, it's Greece. I didn't mean to cause brief confusion. :)

V
1927

JANUARY

Berlin~
First World Auto Fair took place in Germany, where firms Mercedes Benz, BMW and others showed their new models or future designs. The American Franklin Sport Coupe was also given much attention. The German Automobile industry has grown much since 1924 after receiving several tax cuts and benefits from the government. The advances are clearly seen as cars are becoming cheaper to produce, and their engines are stronger and capable of more than ever before.

Madrid~
Spain makes territorial demands upon Argentina. Buenos aires responded with a complete no and instead started negotiations with the UK and France. A few days later Colombia joined the Talks.

FEBRUARY

Paris~
Treaty of Versilles Signed.
The Peace treaty was signed and the war was over. Argentina lost the Falkland islands to the British Crown and Colombia gave independence to Panama. Panama's independence was however attached to a pact w/ France regarding security. A pact some think of as little more than mere vassalage.

Amsterdam~
Benelux in trouble as rebellions in Java grow and expand to Sumatra.

Roma~
The Republican conservatives won the recent italian elections. However the Fascists are now the second largest party in the country.

MARCH

Peking~
There have been several sightings of submarine activity in the south and east china seas, but until now there had been no problems. however in March 19th, a series of attacks on merchants vessels began. They tend to attack both Chinese and Spanish vessels. Japanese trade has also been affected from it. A mystery governemnt officials demand to be investigated.

St. Petersburg~
Alexander Kerensky, One of the ministers of Russia calls for the destruction and eradication of all red ideals in the motherland. Communist movement continues to gain strenght as Russian Czar is still on his grand vacation around the world.

Vienna~
Vienna today honored the anniversary of the death of ludwig van Bethoven witha general celebration and concerts featuring the great mans works. One houndred years ago, in a less happy moood, a Viennese funeral procession of 20,000 paid tribute to perhaps the greatest composer of all time, who repudely died at the height of a thunderstorm after shakin his fist at heaven.

APRIL

London~
The German and French currency lost strenght to the pound. However that is not good news to British investors. The world economy seems to be slowing down as the UCC and China follow into the american steps to restrict banking and the stock exchange. Financial theorists believe that what was once a world boom is now being overshadowed. They ask the world nations to maintain their unregulated stock exchange in the memory of the traditional laissez-faire economics. They also claim that red socialist ideals will only bring poverty, backwardness to the once rich and prosperous powers Adam smith foretold in his book "the wealth of nations".

Kioto~
Baron Tanaka named premier of japan.

Managua~
General Agusto Sandino had been secretly creating an army to wage guerrilla war against the French occupation forces. However the recent unexpected war threw his plans into chaos as all of the sudden thousands of french were relocated in the Area. With the number of french growing intensively, Sandino had no other choice but to start his undeclared war for independence early. Several incidents from french nationals and the native residents was added into the equation of the problem. Sandino wants the stablishment of the United States of Central America, a communist state made up of French colonies and the newly independent nation of Panama. Some of his weapons are up to date and he is well equiped, leading some to wonder if someone is behind him.

MAY

Paris~
Charles Lindbergh Flies Atlantic Alone!
Nearly 100,000 Parisians rushed onto the tarmac of LeBourget Airport tonight to cheer a new international hero. Carles Lindbergh had touched ground safely, completing the first solo non-stop light from New York to Paris. Others have flown the Atlantic, but none have captured the public imagination as has this lanky, soft spoken, 25 yera old aviator. His flight took 33 hours to cross 3,600 miles. Lindbergh is from Minnesota, US, but his airplane was a result from both German and UCC developments in technology. Lindbergh was a black horse in the hot race to win the $25,000 prize offered to be the first to cross non-stop the atlantic. Charles Lindbergh would be invited and celebrated in Paris, London and New york. Where he was given a ticker tape parade.

New Unit Available!:
Early Fighter : The Flight of Charles Lindbergh was a symbol of the continued succesful development of engines, fuel, aereodynamics and over all machine tools. These development affected Zeppelins too, but it allowed for the creation of a better airplane. As zeppelins were automatically upgraded, the older airplane designes were now made much slower and harder to manouver compared to the early fighter planes. (in other words airplanes are now at greater odds fighting zeppelins and no match against early fighters)
Cost is 3 PPs per squadron.
(Airplanes can be upgraded to early fighters by spending 2 PPs - rather expensive but you are pretty much replacing the whole thing for a new one)

JUNE

Tehran~
With the conditions of the rebellion in persia getting worse, the government had no other choice but to ask his allies for help. The Ottoman strongman was apparently recovering from sickness and allowed noone to visit him. The same was heard from the Czar, who was according to official sources in a grand vacation, leaving his nation to the control of the petty ministers for the time being. It was lucky that they asked the Kaiser. Germany was ready to flex its military muscle. After the victorious Entete in south america, they had to somehow make a show of strenght and perhaps test military theory and newly developed weapons. The Kaiser immediately sent 50,000 men and an assorted ammount of navy and air units. However the germans had more problems that they hoped for. The supply lines were a nightmare and disease kept many men out of the conflict. Some called it the Crimean war of Germany. And it fact it looked like the charge of the light brigade was around the corner. But the German high command quickly replaced the man in control of the expeditionary force. Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck arrived at the scene a month after the expedition land force had. He quickly reorganized the army to suit his counter guerrilla strategy. In three months he turned around a near disaster into a brillian success. Some now ask the question of whos a better General, the german von Lettow-Vorbeck or Ferdinand Foch of france.
