Kan' Sharuminar
Fluffy
In tears I tossed my coin from Trevi's edge. A coin unsordid as a bond of love-- And, with the instinct of the homing dove, I gave to Rome my rendezvous and pledge. And when imperious Death has quenched my flame of breath, Oh, let me join the faithful shades that throng that fount above.
Heart of the Republic - A Rome: Total War AAR
We could have all of Italy, you know. said Till.
The Consular smiled. He had had this conversation many a time with Till. He was a lively one, wishing to expand Romes control beyond what was natural. In a way, Kan agreed, but he preferred to maintain the status quo. To retain Roman values and traditions. The Republic lived and thrived, there was no need to upset the balance with unwanted attacks.
Confinium is just a few days march away Till continued. And to take it would be just a minor siege. Not to mention that the barbarians there have been particularly vicious recently, it would not be hard to convince the senate that
Peace, Till. said Kan. Your continued desire for war is rather worrying. We will defend ourselves if needed. The Republic does not desire war.
Yet? Till replied.
Yet. Said Kan. And he smiled again

Friends, Romans, CFCers, lend me your ears! Those of you used to the Council of my old Hearts of Iron game, welcome back. You know the story, you know what to do, but now you can even be slightly different - because the game now is Rome: Total War! You can actually be in-game. Inspired by PrinceScamps I was blasting Soviet aircraft and Para trooping in Britain, I decided that - if my new council members choose - they may actually do it.
And to any newcomers, welcome! This is obviously a Rome AAR (after action report). I play it as I go, then write an update straight afterwards. Given the remarkably spectacular success of my previous one, I felt it would be rather silly not to allow folks to join. So go ahead. Be a general, a senator or just post and give advice to me, as Im hardly a Rome: Total War veteran. And there's absolutely no need to have the game. All responsibility lies with me. Though I may blame you
