JalNES I: Quick and Easy

From: Tartessos
To: Eirehann

If you invest 1 EP, we will pay 2 EP for the right to settle future lands. We are also assuming that the troop limits only hold for 4 turns, as in the case of Iberia. Is this acceptable to you?

FROM: Eirehann
TO: Rome, Tartessos

It is agreed. Let us have peace.

((OOC: Thanks alex, I thought it was pretty smooth too hehe))

FROM: Eirehann
TO: Britannia

We are satisfied if you are satisfied.

EDIT:

FROM: Eirehann
TO: Carthage

We have fulfilled this precondition for peace. Will you hold up your end of the peace?

We ask you once. Leave Tartessos. Pay 1 EP to help it rebuild. Before we bring down a holy flame of death upon thee! Remember the Berbers!!!!!

Start thinking about getting those orders in...

To Everyone
From Briton

We are satisied for now. If the Iberians keep their promises, may peace prevail.

OOC: orders as soon as I see what Luckymoose will attempt now.

The Evil that is Sweeden:
(OOC: Was getting characters ready for the IT, but it looks like it isn't happening. Ah well- this is still useable.)
(EDIT: The Farow seemed to think it was alright if i tried to even things out by sheer weight of story bonuses. So here goes)

Maria looked as her home burned. Everything- her life, her possesions. Everything. It had been lost- lost to those evil Swedes. And why? Because they suspected that the Prussian leaders were vaguely considering an expedition into the Baltic. Nonsense- utter nonense. But then why? Why would people be so evil?

She looked at the burning city of Koingsberg. That was everything she had- nothing was left for her now. Her husband was a soldier, killed defending his king. Her brother was a bribed official- the only one to escape execution, as it happened. Her young children had died of fatiuge on the journey.

One baby was left. And it was dying. Crying all the way, it suffered against the heat of the sun- it was too hot. It wasn't hers, but her brother's. Maria no longer produced milk- she was 50 years old, and coming close to dying of fatiuge herself.

She thought of her brother, Hermann. Why had he taken bribes? Why had he betrayed his country so easily- he was no fool. He must have known that the Swedes would have been forced to retreat, and that he would go into exile. Why do it?

Hermann walked into the court at Stockholm. He bowed before the throne. "My new king"

The King looked at him. "Ah yes, you're a clever one. You escaped the Prussian purge when we fled Koingsberg?"
"Yes, i was a stoaway."
"So, i'm intrested. Why do people like you defect?"
"You offer gold greater then any man can hope to get by any other means. Gold corrupts all men."

King Rites smiled.

"Not quite all men, as my latest scrap with the Commoner's Guild proved. Anyway, do you have any questions."

Hermann looked at him, right in the eyes. Rites had blue eyes, but they seemed dark, somehow. As if everything good, or even partly good, had been driven away somehow. Some force- some force more powerful then gold. He knew what he wanted to ask, but did he dare ask it?

"What- what is it!"

"Er, maybye not..."
"Ask it!"

Hermann was shocked. "Er, yes, then, very well." he said.

"Get on with it!"
"Erm, sir, i don't quite know how to put this but, why did you attack?"
"Prussia's existence was contrary to our intrests."
"You know what i mean- the real reason. Every tribe's existence is contrary to your existence- why Prussia?"

Hermann expected something like "Prussia is our strongest neighbour". Propaganda to try and fool him into becoming some loyal lackey.

"Glory"

Hermann continued to look him in the eye- there was more.

"A man may betray his country for wealth, but only the fool. Any man may want glory. My name shall go down in history. Screw the country, Screw Sweeden, Screw Swissia- This land is My ROAD TO POWER!"

Everyone in the room looked at him, shocked. He had said a little too much.

The Meura Family, Part 1- The First Century:
The Meura family were a set of great merchants, but they started from semi-humble begginings. Their family history begins around the time Sweeden was established as a centralized monarchy. A faction of Finnists snipes who didn't want the unioun, they had virtually no allies- the Finnists and Scanians were too hard-pressed to help each other, and the remant break-away snipes were mostly Orthodox- the rest were Scanians who allied with other Scanians.

For this reason, the Meura family fled to Brittania. There, they bought a plot of land in Cambridge which became their H.Q for future expansion of a trade empire. The factional wars forgotten, they slowly began to get rich.

The Meura family's first effect on the wider world was an insignificant Scanian minority in Brittania. But at this stage, the great, sprawling merchant empire of the Meura was yet to exist. As the Meura family branched out in Brittania, it began merely being famous for a high promiscuity rate.

But near the end of it's first known century, the Meura family, mostly poor, created a Meura Mercantile Confederation. They agreed to share their wealth in common and secure land within Brittania. How this would go nobody knew yet.

Part 2- The Second Century:
By half-way into the second century, all the Meura owned land. Promiscuity rates had dropped, and the Meura threatened to dissolve into society. The first Prince of the Meura, Yacon, changed that.

In alliance with the government, many rouge Meurans demanded the dissolving of the Meura Mercantile Confederation. Getas, head of the Meura, therefore decided to flee to the northern islands and set up a base. He then began rebuilding the land empire, and kidnapping and killing rouge Meurans. The Britannians didn't know where he was based, and couldn't stop him.

The Meura Mercantile Confederation was thus restored "with full consent of all members", in practice with the hatred of half it's members, the dislike of almost all, and the hatred of the government. Getas used it as a personal empire, and began attempting a land reinvasion of Sweeden through purchasing land.

However, the tiny progress made on this front was insignificant.

A Warrior is Born:
Hermann walked into the room, where his young son had been born. He didn't care much for his wife, and had forgotten her name about 4.5 years ago. But, he was intrested in the child. He said three words.

"Is he strong?"
"I don't know- i've never seen a baby before."

Hermann punched him. It wasn't a strong punch, but enough to knock the baby over crying.

The baby bit back on his finger.

"Ah- a strong one. As i hoped?"
"Why- he'll just become a soldier."
"Not just a soldier."

He squeezed the baby's arm tightly. It didn't cry.

"As i thought- my father was a high-class warrior, as was my grandfather on my mother's side. This one will be very strong."
"I was thinking of calling him Gustavus."
"GUSTAVUS! WHAT KIND OF NAME IS THAT FOR A WARRIOR!" exclaimed Hermann.

He sighed.

"Naming is woman's busniess- i'll let you get away with that this once."

The End of the Battle of Koingsberg:
(OOC: The sucession of Kings will be explained in a diffrent story. Also, edited the name for consistency)

Governor Cletas looked at the battlefield of Koingsberg. He had crushed the enemy and killed their king. He looked around at the
scaked city, wandering where the King of Prussia had fallen. A scout had given him his head, but said he had found his body with no idea what had happened to it.

But there were other matters to attend to- Governor Cletas was the practical ruler of the state after King Pi fell into a semi-madness and depression at the same time. A coalition of the Commoner's Guild, the Finnists, the Scanians, and snipe break-offs had declared independence in his lands in norhern Sweeden.

Governor Cletas frowned. He was planning to make a personal fortune out of the economic potential he saw in his northern lands. But it was no matter. Whatever Governor Cletas wasn't, including a good person, an administrator who didn't stuff things up, and a trustworthy man, he was at least a good general.

"Come men!" he declared. "The Commoner's Guild are up to it on my land. Whoever kills the most men gets my spare Swissian hair!" The men liked that offer- it spurred them on. The army began to board the ships, and prepare for war...

OOC: My edit tool didn't work for a sec, so i explained the disrepancies in the above story by putting a post here. It's fixed now, but will put story here later. By the way, maybe the story links should be updated?

New Provinces of Prussia

East Prussia- The largest in terms of land area it has a loosely scattered population. At one point the most populated area of Prussia but with the sack of Konigsburg it went to the third most populace of Prussia. Most of the economy is run either by farming on the vast plains and plentiful water or by trade with Briton and Eire.
West Prussia- Although only the third populated province of Prussia it has the most populated city holding much of Konigsburg’s refugees and its important naval position in the Baltic as well as the center of trade for Prussian proper it has grown to new heights. The economy here is mainly based off of trade and naval service for the government as well as with most of the world it has a huge agricultural base.
Brandenburg- The future site of the new Prussian capital expected to soon be the center of German culture as a new project is planned within its walls after it is completed. At the moment barren swamp land but a great city is planned to soon be laid here as the marshes are drained and the foundations made.
Upper Saxony- The most densely populated area of Prussia and perhaps the most Prussian area of Prussia besides Prussia itself. Most of the area is populated by Prussian settlers moving westward to the advantageous trading positions at the mouth of the Rhine and the Elbe.
Denmark- The port city of Copenhagen is a mix of Germanic and Scandinavian cultures a very unique place. This mixing place has its roots due to the region being populated by Scandinavian peoples before the arrival of the Prussian army. The Prussians now far outnumber the Scandinavians living here as most have bred into the population but the new Prussian settlers adopted much of the former Scandinavian ways.

Ah.... Couldn't you have simply combined a few of the stories instead of putting them in seperate posts and instead put "Part 2" but bolded? Instead of posting 6 posts in 17 minutes?
