Here's a modern PLA Soldier to go along with the great Chinese units that La Dav has been making. He has a Chinese camo pattern and is carrying the new Type 95 assault rifle.

Historically the PLA has been heavily involved with public work projects, so I included a work anim. Suggested attribute would be to build roads and irrigate. Enjoy.;)

You do keep getting better, great to see another unit maker progressing, I mean we have half a gazillion (yeah I know, not a proper unit of measure) modern infantry units, but new ones aren't any less impressive for it.

@ Ares, I'm not planning a remake of this anytime soon due to long render times.

@ Orthanc, I always thought modern infantry was one of the most lacking categories of fan created units. It seems that ancient, medeival and fantasy all have more, but that might just be me.

The proportion of this unit, animation and equipment is me most like! ~ I think that the army that has only China is just worth-while and proud! Thank you to you made him! Wish your Merry Christmas! Very nice unit.

I understand what you tried to do with the drop animation, however I'm not sure it suits well the civ scale, there's not enough time. Perhaps if you could have him fall from higher it would work better?

I agree with you that we miss modern units. We are still lacking British, German, Indian... And a few others ;)!

We could also do with more 1950-70 units...

hehe... :lol: These are only some military affairs fans. The 4th one and 5th one's equipments are not PLA's.
 
Really good work once again. It's amazing how you've become such a good unit creator so quickly. This is a very professional-looking unit. I agree with Steph that the Paradrop animation might have been better if there had been more room to squeeze it in, but given the space, it's beautifully done.
 
I have a suggestion for the drop, if you have time to rerender it. It may not be to long as only one direction neeeds to be done.

at the end, make it so unit stands at the bottom of the screen, and make it drop from the top, then try to change the centering toward the bottom.

You may be able to get enough space to make it nicer.
