There is no creative philosophical leader, that sucks that would be the most awesome builder combination (im more of a warmonger but sometimes i have a peace of mind in me)
Theres just about every useful combination y cant creative philosophical b 1 4 lik another Greek leader or something

Balance, that trait combo would make a research/culture (cheap Theatre, Colosseum..) monster with so many cheap buildings (esp. w/warlords 2.08, cheap Library & University + 100% GPP = scientists, and lots of them). Mod those in for the leader of your choose if you want to try it.

Frederick the Great of Germany was the leader with that trait combo in vanilla Civ IV. Awesome combination, especially for a specialist economy.

As Julian Delphiki said, I think they removed it for purposes of game balance, especially because of the cheap library/university combination you'd get in 2.08! Talk about a tech monster!

At any rate, you can certainly modify the XML files to put it in if you want it. Just go ask how in the Customization forum.

this a killer combo;
sisten chaple
philosophical trait

Libraries + Universities + Great Library + Pacifism + 100%GPP + Oxford University = You'll be swimming in Great Scientists.

you forgot n'epic

In vanilla I would play Fred all the time. What I am really hoping for is an Industrious/Philo leader. The free specialist points the wonders give you paired with 100% GPP

yea maybe u guys r right but still it would be cool to have a leader thats philosophical and creative since theyre the best builder traits. Im not a warmonger but if u declare war on me i can take on the world 4 years and years ( wat im doing with england in this game rite now). Anyways i think ill try to change elizabeth to philosophical and creative something thats id say pretty historically acurate.

BY the way PEter is a backstabber, got 3 scientist in a row, and is too facking strong somerthing needs to be done

There are several missing combinations, including the ones you guys have mentioned, a more overtly overpowered combo (Aggressive and Charismatic-- warmonger's dream), and some others...like the old Expansive/Financial combo (I think) and Creative/Expansive. The way I see it, they have plenty of combinations to pick from in the next expansion pack. ;)

Another very cool combination that's not in the game is Charismatic/Philosophical. Pretty good for a SE. There's a leader with this combo in the Canada Mod.

The best builder combo would be surely Industrious/Philosophical it is too much sinergic.Creative is good but i can't find why it would be so powerful in combination with Philosophical trait.

Since the patch, Creative gets cheap libraries and theatres. Philosophical gives cheap universities. Run the traits with a SE and you'll be a tech-whoring, border-popping, GP-generating monster.

Cyrus (Cha/Imp) is about as close to Agg/Cha as you would want to get. You're right, too much synergy. Game breaking synergy.

The offset would have to be a crappy UU and UB. I think the pre-upgraded Jags were a perfect compliment to the strength of the Agg/Cha combo. Unfortunately, it is quite strong...

I'm thinking Pericles for Creative/Philosophical, I think...I had a list somewhere of leaders and my suggested traits for each, but its been a month since I looked at it. Here are all the trait combos that aren't in the current game:

Aggressive, Charismatic
Aggressive, Industrious
Creative, Charismatic
Creative, Expansive
Creative, Financial
Creative, Philosophical
Creative, Protective
Charismatic, Industrious
Charismatic, Philosophical
Expansive, Financial
Expansive, Imperialistic
Financial, Organized
Imperalistic, Industrious
Imperalistic, Philosophical
Imperalistic, Protective
Imperalistic, Spiritual
Industrious, Philosophical
Organized, Protective
Philosophical, Protective

Of those, I particularly want to play Creative/Financial (Catherine's old traits, I think), Charismatic/Industrious, Industrious/Philosophical (more of that potentially game-breaking synergy), and Financial/Organized (Washington's old traits).

Hehe i did try this within crea/philo monty on prince, as i stated in earlier post. Ok, i managed to found 3 religions (hind, jew, christ(popped with gp)), and to build gw, pyramids, gl and bunch of other stuff before stopping after getting just 2 cities (GL by engineer). I did not bother trying to play well, but for some reason i had both stone+marble on capitals fc (temperate, continents) and if i had moved settler one north i would've also got gold. Start was exceptional, as i did not reroll to get it.. after 200~ad and only 2 cities but still in heavy tech lead i retired. I did beat Mansa in teching after i build first library (first GS did build academy for me) - i think that tells how powerfull this trait combo is. I also did have some very good luck with scouts/hut popping. RNG gods seem to like crea/philo duuds..

Which is why it's not in the game, it would be overpowered. It would end up with most of the Wonders and run away with a culture victory.

Frederick of German in vanilla had this combination, but in Warlords they changed it, probably for reasons of game balance as you specify.

Frederick's old traits were also fantastic for running a Specialist Economy--possibly only exceeded by Gandhi's current traits in that regard.
