Vimana Tech Icon

The Vimana are the mysteriously powered flying craft of Ancient Indian myth, such as in the Ramayana or Mahabharata.



This is a cut and paste job. I have corrected the palettes (256 colors, indexed, pink & green in last slots), but the images have not been tested in-game. Both large and small PCXs are included in the zip. This is my first try at a Tech Icon, so if you have any suggestions, such as a standard way of naming the files that eases use by modders, please let me know.

In my Bharata Bazaar thread is a post with links to a lot of information and images to do with them. I hope eventual to create and add a civilopedia entry to the Tech Icon zip (first i need to learn the format for writing one that can be cut and pasted directly into the txt file for use in game).

Also, Sword of Geddon started a thread to a get an ancient airplane built. These objects, found throughout the world, are often linked in the literature with Vimana, and would be one unit appropriate to connect to the Vimana technology.

Thanks a lot! I understand the syntax of the format except for what should go in the brackets {NEW ABILITY}. That part must be pretty tricky to get right. Is there a tutorial thread on 'pedia entries that I've overlooked?

If you look in the 'pedia, you'll see that it's literally "{New Ability}". The "{}" part makes the text bold.
