Force Powers!?!

just wondering how you plan on using the different force powers. i would imagine that it would be a lot like FfH2 magic spell system.

anyways i took the liberty to look up some powers, not sure if theyre already posted here somewhere or not but i searched and couldnt find anything on "force powers" so here they are.

I found these powers through wikipedia.com search for "force powers"
I put the ones i thought could be useful in here, if theres some you can think of that I havent mentioned please add em if you think it would help in a better game.

Light side-Cure/Heal(self explanatory); Revitalize(an advanced power that gives the Jedi the ability to bring back a fallen ally); Force Aura(hightens the jedis defenses for a turn, at higher levels increases more and more turns); Protection(the highest level of force aura that only the a jedi master can achieve); Force Valor(increases physical attributes of user and allies on same tile for set amount of turns); Animal Friendship(self explanatory); Blinding(could possibly be one of my favorites. hides the jedi to where hes hard to detect, makin him able to infiltrate enemy lands w/o being spotted and killing enemy units w/o starting a war); Stasis Field (stuns/paralyzes enemy units within radius); Disable Droid(self explan)
 
Dark Side- Force Grip/Choke(deals damage, maybe during multiple turns); Crush(enhanced version of the Choke, dealing an instant death to the enemy unit if spell/power isn't resisted);Lightning(self explan); Chain Lightning(obvious ugrade of lightning where it deals damage to multiple opponents in radius); Rage(enhances strength and speed); Insanity(enemy runs in fear or attacks its own units instead); Drain Life(self explan); Plague(poison); Destruction(perform devastating explosive attacks upon the enemy);
 
forgive me if theyre not as neat as other posts. i dont know how to do the hide/show-list thingamajig. any mispellings tho can be blamed on my keyboard, for its not my fault it does not know how to spell.
 
How about having promotions being the force powers? :) Maybe some Academies as buildings could make the Force Sensitive Units having some bonus upgrades? It's a good idea to have to 'costumize' to get advantages, but there got to be some specific anti-powers :P

All that "instant kill" and "Destroy Droid" and all those things sounds too... overpowered.

Use them as advantages would be perfect, but notihng like that "sneaking around, killing"
 
the promotion thing would work, altho in ffh they have the diff classes of magic as promotions, then diff spells come from those. i understand the instant kill being overpowered and thats why it would be a highly advanced power that only a sith lord could get to. the sneaking around ability wouldnt be fool proof, u could find them with "sense" and it would work like the "hidden nationality" in ffh2.
 
I had been diong some thinking on the subject of jedi/sith force powers. I had the idea that for basic powers one could just have three tiers or so (padawan, knight, master). Heal for example could include heal while moving and first level heal. For knights it would give level 2 heal, etc. For speed one could have that represented by first strikes. As for things like push, lightning, choke, it would have to be sort of like the spells mentioned above.
 
If using the Force civic based units idea, I think the main promotions for the Jedi should be defensive or first strikey kind, agressive/extra damage kind for the Sith, healing kind for Force Adepts (shamans), and bounty hunters would get ones that neutralize the opponents' Force promotions or something like that.
