I-400, Japanese Sub/carrier

Here is that sub that asioasioasio requested. I am 'hoping' it is satisfactory, but I can do a better skin if needed. I used the red/white colour scheme.

Uses the subs animations, and is the same size of model so you may want to make the scale a little bigger than the subs (Here it is the same as I didn't want to mess around too much. :P)

Tell me asioasioasio if it is satisfactory.. In the final product there is a little plane there, but in the render, at the time I didn't have it in.

Edit: Uploaded a lower poly plane one.. Looks just as good imho. :)

There's small plane on the deck :) good work. For sure it'll spice up wars on pacific wich will come in phase two of mod :)

If you would like to model something for ww2 mod in the future i would be very happy :)

There's already a WWII-type carrier in the database, ready for you to download.
Granted it is Japanese by origin, but carriers of that day didn't look that different from one another.
 
I already have downloaded that carrier but it just does not look right as an Allied Carrier. I figure if GeneralMatt wants some variety he could add some wwii carriers to his resume.

Overall its like using an F-14 to represent a Mig-29....if you squint hard enough they both look similar in design :lol:
 
So, in short, you want a better texture file attached to the model?
O yes, and comparing the Mig29 with the F14 is like comparing the Nimitz with the original Enterprise. ;)
 
I am a bit selfish in that the one in the picture is the exact ship that was used in the arctic convoys, so I would be over the moon if you did that one.

GeoModder - Not saying that there is any thing wrong with the existing carrier as it is an awesome unit. It just gets a bit annoying after a while when you have to keep substituting units for everything.

The lack of ww2 infantry variety is a good case in point. Apart from the German infantryman, every other infantry in my mod uses the same infantryman that came with vanilla civ but just reskinned in a different colour....bit depressing when you think about it....heck there is more variety in ancient units then I have ever seen in other versions of civ put together, but the modern era foot units are lacking right now :(
