The Dearth of Chivalry C3C
(not for the faint hearted) the player civs are selected from those having later UUs and the AI civs with early Medieval UU
This is intended to suit players who find Monarch level comfortable and are looking for a slightly harder challenge..
Epic game
Emperor level
Victory conditions (Domination 75% / Space Race / Cultural / Histograph)
Standard Map (up to 6 human players + AI to make up the number to 8)
All settings variable except;
Age 4 million years
Restless Barbarians
Preserve Random Seed will be used.
Players should try to play within 48 hours of receiving the sav file.
Passwords must be used and should be sent to me. Players will be substituted if they do not pass on their turn after 1 week of being notified via this thread, unless they have given notification to the other players either on this forum or in the temporary leave thread (PM/email is also acceptable if unable to post).
No exploits! (If You Are Not Sure Ask)
Players to be honourable with regard to AI civs (i.e. no breaking treaties/trade deals, no ROP rape etc.)
No city trades with AI ever (players may trade cities on a 1 for 1 basis amongst themselves)
No razing cities (ie 7+ pop), Captured cities cannot be razed on the turn of capture (except auto raze). Starving cities down to size 6 is okay.
Players must offer peace to any civ (player or AI) after the capture of 3 cities and every city thereafter until they enter Modern Times. This applies to each war, so if war then broke out again a player would be able to capture a further 3 cities before having to offer peace. Such peace treaties must be honoured (even between players) – peace treaties last for a minimum of 20 turns after which war can be freely declared.
Penalty for breaking any of the above rules will be enforced anarchy (you must select the previous government after period of Anarchy). Players will not be penalised for AI actions.
Small screenshots (up to 3x3 tiles) can be posted prior to map making, Screenshots can be posted of your own territory after Map Making, and without restriction (including PM/Email) after Navigation.
Units may be renamed but must have their type in parenthesis as well
e.g. warrior = (w)
Cities may be re-named after capture and/or once per city. Players must be notified of city name changes on this thread in the after turn post.
Attacks on player’s units should be reported with location, attacking unit type, losses inflicted on the victor.
e.g. North of Milan
Swordsman (-1) v Spearman
Optional: no alliances with civs from other culture groups until Industrial Age except America who can ally with any non-European culture group*
Any other suggestions are also welcomed.
