I dunno noffin about Meso culture and stuff.. but shouldn`t he hold the stick thingy higher towards the middle? Just a little bit, 5 inches (real scale 
)? I don`t think he has good wrist balance with his current grip, but then again, like I said, I dunno much about their fighting styles and whatnot.
It would be a natural holding postion if he was using both hands.. my 2 cents, I could be totally wrong here.
Unless the lower part weighs more than normal, so it balances it out.

its been ages since you previewed him and now he finally is out. Good to see you finally make you grand entrance into greatness as one of the great unit makers Quinzy. Wish I could have helped with the pallettes more...
The Tlo... Tlipi... The sear/halberd thing is supposed to be the height of a man, and as the Mexica were of a fairly stocky build, only 5'7", i'd say it's not unreasonable for him to hold it that far back, to get maximum reach with the Tlibble-wibble-whatchacall it.
