I know there have been a few threads requesting warcraft maps - I've been working on one myself and just wanted to see if there was still interest. Basically I'm pretty lazy and not sure if I want to finish it, but if there is enough interest I will.

Note that this is only a map, not a mod - so units will still look like civ etc. At the moment I've finished Kalimdor territory/units, and thought I would paste some screenshots to see what people think.

Planned civs will be (this was started pre-Burning Crusade though there is room for those islands) :

Alliance:
Humans
Dwarves (includes Gnomes)
Night Elves

Horde:
Orcs (includes Trolls)
Tauren
Undead

Neutral:
Goblin

Enemy to all:
Blackrock Mountain clan/Ragnaros
Scourge
Ahn'Qiraj

I've only created a city for towns where there was an inn, this made a pretty fair/even distribution. I've used forts to represent outposts.

Each civ starts in the medieval era with a decent amount of troops, and immediate threats are nearby barbarian mobs - these should give a bit of xp before the fight against the other faction.

Anyway let me know if you're interested (still have to do Eastern Kingdoms plus place farms, resources, do religion etc)...

Cool i never played Warcraft, i will give a try once it will be enough completed, a med-fan scenario/map is very wanted ;)

After all we have had a "Midgard map" in Civ 2

Keep working, man ! I want see the map completed and ressources improvements and cities' building placed... And units too :)

You release 1.0 version with that and after you will make 2.0 with special medfan corresponding units and building...

You could legally take certains units from Fall from Heaven by giving it credits and certains buildings/wonders too by giving also credits...

In brief i will be unpatient, because i want taste other than sci-fi or historical... And principe of Fall from Heaven don't convince me...

Good luck from the future !

:goodjob:

It'll be a hoot to see some wheeling and dealing goblins.

How about having the barbarians use centaur, ogre, and Defias bandit units? And of course the usual animals, and perhaps some named versions of the above that *drop* unit promotions when killed? :*)

That's hella cool! I've been wanting to do this for a while now myself. Although I would like to see a larger verson so there'd be more room to duke it out.
