Please Help the Civ 4 MTDG

The Game has come to a stall now for almost 1 month.

The 5 teams involved, to increase the amount of people who can play, have agreed to patch up to the newest version (1.74).

The Trouble is our game Moderators (Ginger_Ale & RegentMan) have been unsuccesful at unlocking the game & Patching up.

If anyone could provided step by step instructions (on a PBEM game how to unlock & patch up)
(or if one of the Moderators could speak with Regentman and help us)

Over 100 players would be grateful for your help!

for the DG2 save (not a PBEM) Gyathaar used unknown magic to unlock it - so you might want to contact him.
For a PBEM save it should be as easy as removing the password, patching and resetting the password.
The admin has to use an UNPATCHED (i.e. Vanilla 1.61) version.
Open the save.
Hit Esc
click Game Details
Enter the Admin Password in the prompt
Delete the Admin Password in the next screen
click ok
save game
exit game
patch
open save
hit esc
click game details
enter an Admin Password
click ok
save game
exit game
enjoy.

Note: it is necessary to ensure that this is done on a Vanilla install WITHOUT BtS 3.13 installed since BtS 3.13 installs a 1.74 patch that is different from Non-BtS 1.74 patched games. BtS 3.13/1.74 will not be able to open protected games from non-BtS/1.74 and vice versa. After resetting the Admin Password the game will be locked to the version it was locked in, i.e. either 1.74 or BtS/1.74.
