fcNES: Gods and Despots

In Kyzyl-Yar, one of the largest gatherings of Scythian warlords is taking place. King Jucar is attempting to control a vicious debate that from time to time breaks down into brawling. The warlords are divided into two camps. The first group of northern warlords controlled by the warlord Aztar favors a unified attack against Rushka. The Second group comprised of southern warlords is led by Jozar. They want to destroy Urartu. Both sides are exaggerating the amount of insult they have received and of course the amount of potential plunder.

King Jucar is an old leader one the last remaining men who unified Scythians to destroy the Crimea. He knew this was an important discussion. The Scythians could destroy these nations only if they worked together. He ordered the discussion closed for the day. It is time to break for the evening meal. Jozar was about to execute his evil plan. He arranged for King Jucar’s wine to be poisoned. He even picked out someone from the Aztar’s group to be the fall guy. Aztar was not a fool. He had spies watching Jozar. When he heard about the poisoning of the wine, he told his men to do nothing. He also thought it was time for new leadership and this presented a perfect opportunity.

That night everybody sat about enjoying their dinner. The King of course was drinking his wine. He began to feel ill and unfortunately, he thought drinking more wine would help him. Suddenly the King’s great body convulsed violently and he toppled forward. The King’s head Shaman rushed to his side and began trying to revive the King. Another Shaman noticed the spilled wine from the Kings glass. It’s color appeared a little darker then it should. He sniffed the glass and with out thinking shouted “The King has been poisoned”

Aztar motioned to his men who brought forth the man who had poisoned the wine. Aztar yelled, “This Rushkan spy poisoned the Kings wine. “Unfortunately I only was only told of this moments before and did not have time to warn the King. We shall have our revenge by destroying the Rushkins,” Yelled Aztar. Jozar’s face turned red with anger. Aztar had undone everything he had planned. That did not stop Jozar from being moving forward with his ambitions. He had his men grab the person they have setup. Jozar shouted, “My men have found this Urartu spy with various poison on him. This is the true killer.”

The King’s Head Shaman stood up. He new that he had to act quickly. One of these warlords would be the new king and he needed to be on their good side if he wanted to keep his power. He asked the suspects to be brought forward. Then asked for the Shamans from the two warlords to join him. The council went off to the Head Shamans tent to determine the true murderer. All through the night, many questions were asked. The King’s Shamans did not really care which suspect killed the King. They were fishing for information from the Warlords as to which warlord was the best organized and most powerful. At dawn, they dismissed the other Shamans and discussed the issue amongst themselves. By the time the sun was directly overhead, they were prepared to make a decision about who the murder was and which warlord would be the new King.

They gathered the all the men together. They stated that after a night of careful consideration they determined the Kings murder. The said one warlord was to be killed for murdering the King. Another warlord would become the new King. The warlord to be killed is … <<<Not be disclosed until after the update>>>

"Move foward men! Follow the standard!" Shouted a centurion as the Roman Legions surged foward and broke the enemy lines for the second time in 3 days. Romulus reined his horse in and dismounted, he walked over to the senior centurion and asked, "How are we progressing so far?"
"Wonderfully sir, we have taken two outpostes and beaten back the southern tribes for the second time in the campaign. They will break soon. I garauntee it."
Romulus nodded as he watched his brave soldiers chase after the fleeing men. "Very well centurion continue on with the plan."
"Yes, sir!" The centurion saluted and mounted his horse. He took off after the army.

Romulus stood there and watched, he was perched on a hill over looking the valley to the south of Rome, he could see some smoke nearby and knew that his soldiers had burned down several houses belonging to the enemy merchants, he smiled as he thought, "If the army fails at least the money will kill them. Or lack of it." He chuckled as he said the last 4 words. He mounted his horse and looked southward again, he could see his army clearly now, they were reorganizing again. He looked further down and saw some men running, they were all over the place and seemed lost, Romulus smiled, his army had not failed him yet. He kicked his horse and the horse galloped down the hill and towards Rome. He needed fresh recruits to replenish the ranks.

Johnathan Remus II:
To all concerned nations:

A minor gripe, though: what happened to the other things I was building? I did spend an industry point on roads and new irrigation systems, if memory serves. Also, what happened to the First Temple?
Sorry, just got to reading the stories (and your query) now. It's all there, keeping your people awed and future generations forever enamored towards Israel.

Unless, of course, Muslims and Romans start sacking it.

orders sent!

Can I build a Fourms? Like a Grand forum with 4 buildings..

The Temple
The Council
The Library
The Bazarr

How much will It take ? Thank you!

OK, the person or npc known as egypt better start agreeing or disagreeing with my trade proposal or I'll get grumpy xD

I can't send orders before that happens :/

@Charles Li: You can go to Proboards or Invisionfree to start your own forum. As for your big buildings, you could put them in your orders. Just give me the effects of your project and I will see if it's okay and how much it will cost.

@lord_joakim: If HMS Vanguard does not respond before update deadline, I will NPC (reserved) Egypt.

But then I can't send orders before update deadline  What should I do?

1. When is the deadline?
2. Charles means the Roman style Forums, a place to speak etc, not a net forum ;)
3. Charles, send that stuff as a PM to the mod!

1. Read the front page. Tomorrow.
2. Can't my jokes get through? :( Better stop joking around in my updates, then.
3. Hear hear. But the thread is fine lol

@lord_joakim: PM me your diplo and I will act in response as IC as possible.

Everyone, consider this the 26.5 hour warning. But since it's a hectic time for all of us you all won't be NPC'd asap if you don't send orders.

1. NPC shouldn't mean bad things! It means YOU the mod, should look after things as best as possible with a bias. :p

2. I wasn't sure if Charles would get the joke and kick off a whole round of spamm again!

3. Orders in 5 minutes
