Interesting Screenshots

First time in my 50 or so games that the AI used arty offensively.

Every once in awhile, the AI stumbles into doing something a human player would do. Here is a picture of an AI using a proper army:

I killed it with a tank right after that, but I was impressed.

What's next, will the AI start using artillery effec...

I've been bombed .. I've been attacked by defending artillery, never had artillery attack my cities. Although the Romans did send 1 artillery my way once in one game. I have seen AI MGLs and killed them, and had them simply disappear but I have never seen an AI army ...
 
I don't recall being hit with artillary (except the defensive hit when I'm going after a city), but I was bombed with bombers once by Japan.

Hey - looks like that peice of artillary is sitting there just waiting for your MI to go grab it.
 
The Army screenshot is from PtW/Vanilla though, in C3C units loaded into an army are indented a bit in the list to make them stand out.

Show me an un-modded C3C pic with an AI army and I will be impressed!

But... you have Tanks and are researching Democracy?! What gives? ;)

Well, it can't be Vanilla, since there are Ottos. :) So it's probably PTW.
 
Oh, and it's a Cav army with only 3 movement points not 4. Which also means it can't be C3C.
 
Yeah, you're right about it being PTW. I believe it to be This Succesion Game.

As to why he's researching Democracy, I think he was just playing the game from a save and didn't bother to select a different tech when he finished reseraching the previous one, he just wanted to show the pic.

Oddly, this army was never mentioned in the SG...

Chinese Civil War! There's No other explanation! And those Infantry are defecting to Persia, who apparently has created "Great Scouts", "Ambassadors", and Bombers with infinite fuel!

Or perhaps your "What Civ3 Should be Like" Scenario has some bugs. :p
 
It was PTW. It was in Hawk-01. Why Democracy was being researched totally escapes me.
 
But how can an AI use it, and what about the Ambassador to China/Great Scout?
 
the only explaination i can come up with is that it could be a multi-player game, and that when you joined, it started as a regular game, and switched over to a scenario that had those units edited in.... but that is just a guess, i know little to nothing about multi-player games
 
Ah. Perhaps they were renamed? Because neither of those units exist in your mod.
