Democratic Succesion Game

So, let's get a succesion game started. I'd like to see your playing style.

Proposed settings:

Standard size, normal speed, Big 'n Small (interesting map), Monarch, random civ.
Choose religions on, locked modified settings off (so our unpatched players, like me, can play too :))

Roster:

I'm interested but leave me off until we find out if others fill the roster. I'd like to see what we get. :)

I don't know if not having locked modified assets will help, as patching often affects the savegame level -- but we can try it.

BTW pitboss games allow different assets if the lock modified flag is off, as long as the save version is the same -- I get warning messages all the time about that in other pitboss games I'm in. :)
 
I would be happy to play. :) (I take it we will be using BTS 3.13)

I'm still at the "from the box" patch level, I'll try to check which savegame level that is.

In the latest Innovian Succession game, I was able to play my turns, and then pass the save on to someone with 3.13, and then get it back and play along.

We will just have to wait and see about whether it works, but you know what my computer is like with this sought of thing :badcomp:

Innovia - The Succession Game Arabia on Emperor, Pangaea, Vanilla, Win :D
Innovian Succession Game #2 Arabia on Emperor, Continents, Vanilla, we ended up on a small jungle continent with Montezuma and Tokugawa, of all people. We lost :(
Innovian Succession Game #3 The Dutch (I lobbied here ;)), Noble, Big 'N Small, BtS. Easy win.

We should do another one...

Why do I always spell Succesion instead of Succession?
 
I just get a load of "this page can't be displayed" when i click on those links. Are you sure you have played them ;)

When copying links, it seems the new input box keeps the http://, giving two http://s. Interesting, but irritating

Sign me up. I like epic in single player, but I can see the attraction for faster speeds in multi player.

If memory serves, a succession game is really just all of us playing a turn and passing it off or should we play more than a few turns then pass it off? How would this one work?

We play a single player game, someone will play 10 turns and then pass the game onto the next one who will play 10 turns too, and pass the game on..., with discussion happening about what we should do between each turnset.

We've got 4 players now, I think we should get one more, and then we can start. Of course, there's always room for more players :)

Okay, so we're Spiritual and Organized, our UU is the Fast Worker, and our UB is the Maussoleum, a improved jail. We start with Mysticism and Mining.

Organized with it's cheap lighthouses and courthouses screams for REXing, especially in BtS were rapid expansion is a viable, if not superior alternative to early war.

Our starting position is also typically BtS, with some many forests. The real question is, which wonder will we try to get?

By the way, should we settle in place? I think we won't be on the river, so we won't be able to build a levee 5000 years from now. Then again, I usually settle in place because the map generator usually gives you the best spot.


Starting techs, I'm thinking of Agriculture (obviously) - Bronze Working.
Starting build, a (fast :)) worker to get our farm up quickly?


I'll try to play the first couple of turns tomorrow, around 5-10 PM GMT.

If not, sorry. If yes,consider move the settler 1 west, loses 1 turn
but gets +1 grass/hills and the cows.
