  • e350tb - There is no province named "West Africa," but it was obvious you were talking about North Africa.
  • e350tb - The total number of troops in your orders failed to add up to neither 14 nor 15.

When the orders take <3 mins to write, I don't mind quick updates one bit. :p

That's half of you not yet sending in orders. I'm not going to point out that this is a simple game and orders-sending will only really take fifteen minutes at most, but I guess that, in pointing that out, I just did.

Of course, if I just randomize what you do, it won't be as fun for the players who did send out orders, so consider the spite of your peers to be the punishment for non-submission as I will be extending. Do not take that as a good thing.

I am also aware not all of you can be online everyday, but in joining this game you made an unwritten, unconfirmable agreement to follow the timetables set by the game. You should complain about deadlines ASAP (through this thread or through PM) so that you or I can forewarn everyone else about the delay beforehand so that everyone can mentally, emotionally, and--possibly--physically prepare.

And then LORD GOD said, "Let there be an extension!" and lo and behold, there was an extension.

This is utterly ridiculous. Don't we have replacements for them?
 
There are currently two backup players (Shadowbound & North King). Three players (germanicus12, qoou, & e350tb) have failed to submit orders. Replacing will mean one slot will still be empty and the delay will still be existing.

If by May 18, 2008, 1200 GMT there are one to two missing orders, the backups (or one of them) will have their chance to shine. If all three have still failed, either we get extra replacements or the deadline will be extended again.

Of course we could have gotten an extra backup just then, if anyone was willing, but I'm sticking with my word and the the deadline is on Sunday for the three players. Update will come as soon as my waking hours coincide with a complete set of orders in my inbox.

EDIT: qoou has sent orders.
EDIT II: The other two have been booted, and the backup players have been called to their sacred duties.

Lurker's prediction: The British conquer north and south america, Simoom conquers africa but soon faces attacks on all sides. The rest of the world is very divided, but with E. Presley doing best. The end game will be between E. Presley and The British, with J. Cash regrouping and conquering australia in the final stages to claim a worthy third place.

Shadowbound, I hereby grant you emergency playing powers to play The British. Please claim them ASAP, before the deadline, whch has been extended for another two days--I should have both the backup players' orders on or (preferably) before May 20, 2008, 1200 GMT.

Edit: North King has replaced germanicus12 as Lt. Dodge.
Edit II: Keeping the "current past" current is fun. Also, it's part of my subtitle schtick, but since I'm not running an Orwellian totalitarianism I stick with strikeouts and "Edit" notices.
 
I'll take purple, and have sent orders. I fully expect to be defeated, since our deployment looks a little lacking compared to our neighbors.

I wouldn't worry too much, I'm not terribly skilled at this game, and like I said, screwy deployments. :p
 
Even though I have yet to actually read the rules, I can tell my deployments are crap.
